Description: Blending bistro and gastronomy, Jendela House's concept combines traditional European and Pan-Asian fusion dishes with sophisticated twists created by the international chef for casual yet remarkable meals. This concept gives a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a top-quality gastronomic approach full of unique combinations of flavours. At Jendela House, you will be welcomed with the ambience of 'Kota lama' style, which is inspired from the beautiful architecture of the colonial period. The decor is focusing on the "vintage chic" with lot of attention to details. The focus on their 'window' style gives the relaxing ambience and appreciation to the Ubud neighbourhood. In the second floor, you can enjoy the beautiful Balinese family temple with some comfortable sofas to unwind and lounge in the harmony of Ubud. The restaurant caters for lunch and dinner, featuring a full service bar, lounge area and dining room. In addition, you can enjoy the daytime Parisian coffees and lovely desserts at our front terrace. The carefully crafted menu showcases a great variety of dishes that will thrill food lovers with dishes such as a duck foie gras, an orange sauce duck leg confit, cacao seasoned fish tempura on banana guacamole or a decadent creme brulee for your finale. The bar list features a wide array of creative cocktails, such as beetroot margarita, fruity tequila with basil and balsamic vinegar and along with all time favourite's cocktails specialties, served with a ambient music that will accompany you throughout the evening.

“Good food, noises from scooter shop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2014 via mobile

We had a lovely, early dinner before the dance performance at Ubud Palace. The food was excellent and service friendly. Both the grilled duck breast and salmon mains were a hit. The only issue (perhaps due to the early dinner hour (5:30pm) was the scooter shop across the road which was still busy with repairs which involved noises from revving motors.

“Over priced bistronomy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2014

The food here is OK its nice enough the establishment is well presented but a little over priced for what it is lets just say if you go in hungry you may be more than a little disappointed the portions aren't really very good and if you starving you may need to definitely have a starter as well as a main.

Hello and thank you very much for your review on Tripavisor.

We strive to use the most fresh and excellent quality ingredients in order to satisfy our customers.
As you can imagine, these products are more expensive.
As in all restaurants where quality takes precedence over quantity, if you are very hungry, it's better to order a starter before a main course.

Many Thanks for your visit at Jendela House and we really hope to see you soon.

“Most pleasant dinner experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2014

A well-balanced Bistro menu. Each plate is nicely decorated, underlining the well and delicately prepared dishes…cooked to individual perfection.
The service is very friendly and attentive…compliments.
The wine selection could be enhanced…but this did not diminish this unexpected great dinner…well done!

“Bistronomie at its best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

Definitely a must try address amongst Ubud's restaurant scene. The decor is trendy, their food menu fancy and their cooking to die for! An unexpected French Bistro concept which really caught our attention and pleased our stomach craving for refine cuisine with a home made classic like Boeuf Bourguignon, served with a chilled red wine.
The staff has great recommendation to help you navigate through their appealing menu so don't hesitate to pop questions around!
Cannot wait to go back!!!
