“An authentic and healthy family experience - a breath of fresh air away from the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2014 via mobile

Our favorite part of Ubud was spending time at Padi Organic, a beautiful, local family owned restaurant serving delicious food surrounded by rice paddies.

One can get caught up in the business of Ubud and the plethora of restaurants. But Padi Organic is unique. First and foremost it is locally owned by a wonderful couple and their young children. That seems be rare in Bali with foreigners owning many businesses. Second is that it is located minutes from their home just outside of the city center in a traditional village surrounded by working rice fields. Leave the congestion and take in some fresh air and see Bali how it was. Third it's organic - and you sit amongst the gardens where your food is grown. Fourth the food is delicious and the presentation And attention to detail is incredible. The setting makes you want to spend the day sipping a healthy juice.

We loved our time there so much we returned for a cooking class with the owner. For the first time my husband prepared a meal and used a mortar and pestle! It was a sight to see!

I cant recommend Padi Organic more highly and would love to see this locally owned family business have great success- as it should with karma.

“Delicious food, beautiful setting and wonderful people!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2014

My wife and I took a cooking class and ate lunch at Padi organic. The class was fantastic and was taught by one of the owners. She couldn't have been nicer and taught us our favorite Balinese dishes. The food was fantastic! But the best part was the restaurant was just outside of busy Ubud. We were surrounded by a rice padi and enjoyed learning about organic farming in their garden adjacent to the restaurant. We hope to go back soon.

“Magical Experience Dining Under the Stars”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2014

Don't let the slightly out of the way location put you off going to this place to eat! It's a lovely location in the middle of the padi fields! It's a pity we missed the sunset, but dining out there is pretty amazing under the stars too!

Try the soto ayam, it's fantastic! One of the best i have had in ubud area. The food is quite unpretentious and indeed everything u eat is from the fields behind!

“This Place is Beautiful! - Ubuds Secret Garden”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2014

This is exactly what we were looking for. Away from the busy roads of Ubud we shared a paradise lunch accompanied by the subtle sounds of the rice paddies and the soft ringing of a wind-chime.

A rare thing to find, the location is tranquil and relaxing. It doesn't end there. The food is vibrant and full of love. Much of it grown in the garden and from organic local suppliers. I love supporting this kind of organic operation, especially as it is run by local people. We need to encourage organic food on the island if she si to continue to thrive as a fertile paradise.

Every little touch was offered with love and consideration.

Thankyou Padi Organic,

Thankyou!
