I stayed at Kenanga Boutique Hotel which is where Terracotta Restaurant was. I had complimentary breakfasts and afternoon teas as part of my hotel stay. I truly did not need to eat the whole day after a Terracotta breakfast! And I am a big eater.
Fresh juices, fruit platters arranged beautifully, yoghurt, tea/coffee, pastries, toast with homemade jams (banana, watermelon, strawberry, kiwifruit, pineapple), cereals/muesli, banana, strawberry or pineapple pancakes (I had banana pancake every day as it was deeeeelicious with this soft fresh coconut and some sort of yummy sauce), bacon, eggs, sausages, hashbrown!!!!
My only complaint is it's pretty depressing coming home to toast and peanut butter after a Terracotta breakfast!
There was an Indonesian breakfast menu with something like chicken porridge which Balinese friends assured me was beautiful but I just couldnt go there.
I also ate dinner at the restaurant several times. They served up complimentary little somethings for an entree which were always very tasty.
Once I ordered the Nasi Goreng with extra spice, I didnt change my order again! Yum! Wish I could eat it now.
And when I discovered they had salted butter caramel ice cream and coconut ice cream, that made my holiday. I drive about 25 minutes sometimes, in Sydney, and then take another half an hour to find a park, just to have my fix of salted caramel ice cream! The only other thing I tried was the chocolate mousse - also beautiful.
Everything was well presented and all the staff beyond lovely, great view and I liked it best hearing the Balinese music rather than Norah Jones (not a fan).
All good value as well. The Nasi Goreng was $6. I ate a disgusting chicken wrap today for $8.95 and felt like crying thinking of that Nasi Goreng!
