They are 18 "Managers" of the place, they are the ones who run the place without any manager or real boss. It is also part of the contract, accountability. At the Fair Warung Bale, you eat very hearty dishes which were all created and invented by the youth, the Angels of the Foundation: The Curry house made, made with real spices bought from the market, fresh local traditional dishes (absolutely nothing is never prepared in advance). The new hospital foundation this year (2014) will be created again, the project already started in the District of Klungkung, on three islands. Both foundations don't pay government tax. However, if you wish, you can help what we do by making a small donation in the small "Donation Box", located on the counter. You will receive a certificate of donation that you can use for all purposes. Thank you very much for your kindness, your interest, your visit and all the love that your small business, you bring us. Great food, atmosphere and service. Had the tuna tatar and chicken coconut soup, which my girlfriend said wad the nicest thing she's ever tried! Says it all really, and the icing on the cake; all proceeds go to charity! A MUST visit!

“Great little find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2014

Excellent lunch in a relaxed and friendly setting. We lounged at the low table at the far side of the restaurant enjoying the breeze. The food and drinks were all fresh and delicious. It almost tasted better when you knew that what you were eating benefited others!
Will definitely return when next in Ubud and recommend to others.

“The best food in Bali”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2014

It was the most delicious food that we had in Ubud and Bali in general. Tuna dishes(tartar and with bazil) were fantastic.

“Great food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2014 via mobile

Went there based on trip advisor reviews, and the food was delicious! Let down was the service was quite slow, but i assume it was because they served the food ala minute (?). We ordered the fish, and it tasted really good. Would definitely come back there next time we visit ubud

“Friendly, Fresh Food & Fantastic Fund”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2014

We booked a table here given there was 10 of us including a young child. The table was waiting, the place was busy and I still can not understand how they got all meals out from that tiny kitchen but the volunteer staff did - and it was great! One of the best places to eat in Ubud, and its not just the food that that gives you a great experience, its knowing you are also eating for a good cause. Please go, the food is worth it alone, but if that is not enough take comfort in the fact that every meal you pay for is helping to sponsor or fund a medical visit for someone less advantaged than you. At the end you might even get given a rock to sign and leave your name and mark on the place.
