“a hidden gem in nyuh kuning ...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2012

This gem of a warung means that you dont have to go into ubud for a nice meal , this is a warm and friendly warung where the food and service are both excellent .. If it was in the middle of ubud it would be impossible to get in ( its that good ) the owner/chef has worked in international restaurants and brings that sophistication to her own warung .. the menu is simple , always fresh produce , and simply prepared ... i travel to ubud 2/3 times a year and this is my favourite place for either a light snack or meal of the day .. looking forward to next visit in february..

“A real treasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012 via mobile

Highly recommend a visit. The food is amazing (especially the Tempe lala manis and phu yung hai) and staff are brilliant! I stayed in Nyuh Kuning for a month and went to D'woroeng at least three times a week with the people I was staying with. I was also lucky enough to experience a cooking lesson with kadek. Dishes were suggested but there was enough scope to truest your own. The small cosy vibe of the place cannot be beat. All the best to the lovely Kadek and crew.

“Expectations surpassed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

After reading about this Warong on here I walked down through lovely Nyuh Kuning to find it - and I'm so happy I did. The gado gado and pisang goreng were delightful, well above the "general" standard of food I enjoyed in Bali - and that's not to put down any of the other places I ate, there were many and I enjoyed most.
The vegetable curry is exceptional too, and you can take a cooking class to learn to cook it if you choose.
I implore you to make the effort to find D'Warong - it's right at the end of Jl. Nyah Kuning, which runs from the back of the Monkey Forest, at the "T" intersection. Essential dining experience in Ubud.
