I have stayed at numerous hotels in Bali and in Ubud and this is one of my all time favourites. We selected this hotel because of the location on Monkey Forrest road and decided to upgrade to a pool villa, which I am so glad we did. Our room was divine and the little touches of this hotel make your stay truly special. The breakfast is the best I have had experiences anywhere. The pool villa has a large bathroom that includes sunken bath and hidden shower, toilet area. It is large enough to include space to store your suitcases. I just loved the bed canopy that overlooked the pool area and rice paddy. Our little outside dining area is where we had our breakfast and spent some time relaxing. I did dip in the pool which is small, but all you need. The little touches will make your stay special such as the cold towel you get on check in, the fact they remember your name and say "welcome home" every time you return, the slippers and night shirt at your bed, hand written card and welcome gift....it was the most expensive hotel on our recent trip but you could tell the difference and it was worth the extra to really spoil yourself. There is another Komaneka that is in very close walkind distance on the other side of the road, but I am glad we stayed here as the other one had lots of steps although it also looked lovely.
