“Stunning. Just perfect.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2010

Its a wonderful, peaceful place. The attention to detail is fantastic, the grounds are out of this world, the swimming pool area probably the best I've ever seen.

We were in the Treetops Suites, with a balcony overlooking, well, the treetops! The room was big and immaculate with local style furniture.

Within minutes of being here (despite the night time arrival of our flight and the hour of waiting in the customs queue at the airport) we felt totally relaxed.

Its out of the hubub of town without being too far away and is right on the doorstep of a lovely walk on a ridge behind the resort.

It was absolutely the quiet, romantic break we were looking for.

The Warwick Ibah Resort is really lovely. It was better than I expected from the photographs on the net. The gardens are luxurious and worth a walk through. The buildings are made of stone and there are ferns, orchids and moss everywhere. I rather agreed with the reviewer who said it is like staying in a temple. My room was huge with a marble bathroom larger than many bedrooms of hotels I have stayed in. There is also a beautiful and private Bali outdoor shower in the garden. The swimming pool was spotless. I ate in the restaurant and the food was also quite good.
I agree also with another reviewer who said that the hotel is only for the sure footed. I slipped on the wet path, so if it is raining watch your step.
The service was also very good and the front of house staff are very helpful. The hotel car will take guests anywhere in Ubud for free and the driver was happy to take me to another hotel to pick up my sister.

This hotel is the opposite to a bland international hotel but it is luxurious, well positioned and thoroughly delightful. I wish I had been able to stay longer. I will be back soon, I hope.

We stayed at this relatively small resort a few months ago but what makes me write this review now is the fact that since then we have tried a number of resorts and hotels in the region and the verdict is that we had one of our most pleasant stays at the Warwick Ibah.

We stayed at Villa Frangipani which has 2 villas and two full bathrooms on its grounds separated by a small pool in the outdoor area between the two. You cannot really do laps in the pool due to its size but the views of the lush green hills around the resort from the pool and from the outside living area are definitely soothing and relaxing.

The grounds of the hotel are very green and the pathways and other parts of the resort grounds at times reminded us of architectural elements that you can find in Angkor Watt in Cambodia. The resort is dipped in rainforest nature and the pool area is very nice. The sandstone and wood lobby area includes a small reading lounge with books to borrow and a pond filled with colourful oriental fish which you can actually feed.

Service was very good during our stay and the staff were polite and helpful. While we mostly walked to the center of Ubud from the hotel (around 5-10 minutes) we also found that the hotel free shuttle service was very convinient especially when we had shopping to carry with us back to the hotel.

Overall we found Warwick Ibah to be a beautiful resort hotel that provides calmness, intimacy and serenity.

The 1st thing we noticed when we entered this property was the landscaping. They have invested a lotta money in making the place look truly stunning. Its green, spread over a large area & has a feel of an ancient cave palace. However, the rooms are quite opposite being ancient. We were living in true luxury. We were put up in a lofted deluxe suite which was huge. The room has a bathroom the size of our bedroom. The balcony with a daybed & a rocking chair just added to the perfection.

Although I must say that this place is a bit on the steeper side but definitely worth it for people who love luxury. they added a nice touch by giving us a Private Balinese Dinner. We were also dressed in their traditional attire (which i must say was awesome). A welcome kit & a small Chritsmas gift with a card just made it very special.

They have a beautiful salt water swimming pool. That is the perfect picture spot in the hotel. I totally recommend it for a romantic getaway...

I always think you have to be careful when a hotel feels the need to use luxury in its title.....as was the case here. Would not class it as luxury...an average 4* would be more suiting.

Originally had booked for 4 days but only stayed 1. We stayed in a villa with a so called pool - turned out to be a large bath tub! The room was clean and big. However slightly dark and oppressive. As I found the general grounds and hotel to be - off course this is personal taste. But in terms of value for money we decided not to spend the rest of the holiday here.

The main swimming pool was nice and breakfast was ok, nothing special. Staff were friendly and polite.

Dear NK07,

Thanks for taking the time to review your stay at Warwick Ibah Luxury Villas & Spa.

Although I cannot be certain of the villa and date of your stay, I appreciate your feedback and sincerely regret that the experience did not meet your expectations.

At our boutique resort all our private pools are unique in size. The smallest, along its waterline measures 4.1 x 2.5 meters, and the largest is 5.5 x 3.2 meters. Complete floor plans of all our accommodation including the private pools, room dimensions and resort layout can be seen on our official website.

Thank you also for the positive comments you have made about the friendliness of the staff and breakfast in the restaurant. Please rest assured we take every guest comment seriously in order for us to improve our facilities and services, and provide training and motivation to our team where it is due.

Thanks again. I hope one day you will return to Ubud and Warwick Ibah Luxury Villas & Spa.

This was one of the hotels my husband and I stayed in following our Canggu villa wedding. The staff was consistently smiling, friendly and there to help in any way. The accommodations were clean and luxurious, the breakfast area was magical and the free shuttle bus into town helped make our stay hassle free.
