Owner description: The Campuhan Ridge Walk is arguably the best known Ubud trek and with good reason. The sparse crowds and the aesthetically rich vistas remind one of why people from around the world come to Bali. The trail starts at the historical origin of Ubud, the confluence (or Campuhan) of the Wos Rivers.

“Nice walk , go early”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2014 NEW

If you start early you can get your breakfast at the cafe at the end of the ridge walk. It's a great place to sit and relax with a cup of coffee. It's a flat walk, so quite easy on the legs.

“Amazing landscape and great exercise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2014 NEW

This is my 3rd time in Bali and I've read about this trek many time. It has been on my to do list ever since.

I've start my walk from Sri Bungalow at Monkey Forest Road, walk towards Ubud market, turn right at the traffic light and continue to walk straight until you arrived at Warwick Ibah. Here you will see the signage to Campuhan Walk. Follow the direction on the signage, walk downhill and you'll see a bridge and a temple, continue to walk through the small lane. This is where you'll start your trekking through the beautiful green landscape. It is advisable to start you walk early in the morning as there is not much shade once you're on top of the hill or you may also bring umbrella or wear hat.

Continue to walk until you see another signage to Karsa Café. Once you see the this signage it is the end of the hill walk and a start of another amazing beautiful green landscape. From here you will walk through some resort, locals shop selling handicrafts and rice terrace.

You may stop at Karsa Café for a Spa after the long walk or just have a drink or a bite. If you start your walk early in the morning you may see some locals farmer working in the field and get a chance to experience harvesting it with them.

To go back to town area, you may walk back towards where you start or you may also get help from the staff at Karsa Café to help you to get a taxi (we got lucky as there's a driver who sent their customer to have a Spa and we've paid him to sent us back to our hotel while waiting for them to finish). It took less than 30 minutes to drive back.

I highly recommended this walk. The rice field is not as spectacular as Tegalalang but it is still worth it especially for those who really like to see nature vs the hustle bustle tourist area/ attraction.

“Highlight of My Stay in Ubud”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2014 NEW

This walk was just like the Bali I pictured. Rice paddies so green there aren't adjectives to describe them. There were friendly people, locals and other travelers, wishing me a good morning along the whole way. I stopped to just listen several times. The quiet of the morning with a freshness in the air from the rain the night before, added to the serenity I felt the whole way. I was in a bit of a hurry to get somewhere by a certain time in Ubud, otherwise I would have stopped in more galleries or even a cafe to prolong my journey. I had planned to walk in to town on the Ridge a second time, but rain and my schedule prevented this. But, for sure NEXT TIME. As there will most definitely be a NEXT TIME.

“Beautiful walk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2014

We went to a Spa called Karsa Spa and then walked back to town down the Campuhan Ridge Walk. It was a very pleasant walk through the rice fields to town.
