“A Taste Of The West”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

Nice to find a little home away from home. Excellent food, service, music & things to do. Margaritas, Cheeseburgers & Ribs are all top notch, that's all I had time to taste.

“Happy male”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013

This place deserves credit as the only place we could find in Ubud that would play the motorbike racing for my partner. Cold beers served in an icy glass added to the enjoyment. Definitely a great man-cave when they need some time out from shopping and sightseeing.

“Good pool tables”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Very good quality pool tables, straight cues, cheap rates per hour. The music is a bit awful and its really hot, but there's plenty of cheap cold beer and a good range of spirits. A very good place to play some stick and as far as I could see the only pool tables in Ubud.

“I wanted to watch football”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

Tli was desperate to watch the Derby between Fremantle and the West Coast Eagles. I checked out many bars, only a few showed the Australian Network on Indosat.

Greg ( a Texas lad) was very accommodating. Not only did he have two televisions but he pulled down the screen for me to watch the game larger than life.

Thanks Greg. Irrespective of the result I really appreciate your hospitality. Awesome

“Melting Pot - An excellent hang out spot in Ubud”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

Bored of walking around looking at the same shop after shop after shop after shop? Been workin' too hard at the office and need to escape? Just finished riding across the island on your dirt bike? If you've been doing any of these things or anything else in Ubud and want a cool place to hang out, have a very cold Beer or killer Marg or ultra dangerous "Starry Night" while either playing pool, watching sports or HBO, playing pingpong, eating great pub food or spacing out to awesome music, then the Melting Pot is the place to be.

We went there last night after a full day of slaving away at the office and didn't leave til 2~... Oops. Ah well, it was a Saturday and we shouldn't have been working anyway. But I'm distracted (what's new?).

A really cool things about the Melting Pot is the flags on the wall. Every single country on the planet and, if it's a big one, many of the regions as well. Signing your flag at the Melting Pot is a badge of honor for anyone visiting or living in Ubud. The staff are really cool too and, because the place is so chill, even when it's totally packed it's got an easy going feel to the place.

It took the owner, a long time to work out the best hamburger mix and damn is it good. The pizza is awesome as is the gumbo, red beans and rice, ribs, etc etc. Oh, and my personal favorite, macaroni and cheese (no I didn't grow up in a trailer park). The Margs, GnTs, and Starry Nights will kick your butt so be careful! Well, no real need to be too careful, there's always someone who'll give you a ride home if things get a bit outta hand so no worries there.

Texas Chili Cook Off is coming up this month February 17th, don't miss it!

Gotta love the Melting Pot!
