Behind the monkey forest was this unexpected fine-dining opportunity, that since it happened to be on one of the days they had a cultural performance, also had a full buffet. Although I was the only one to get it, comparing it to places that had similar shows and small, isolated elevated tables, this one was a great value, and made great food without trying to do too much. As the buffet changes with the kind of show that was on, I got to try a handful of balinese specialties, and even got a piece of roast duck in a special duck sauce prepared and brought to the table even if it was not part of the buffet. The noodles and duck were great, and their juices were refreshing, not to mention a phenomenal avocado juice, that is a must while in Bali. Show up early and score the best table.
