“Fantastic View”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014

We really enjoy the panoramic of Tagalalang Rice Field, using 4WD more better you can cross the rice field and it is safety. You should enjoy lunch in this palace there are some restaurant along the road. Try tea beras merah it is good for diabetes.

“Must Do!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014

I always come to Tegalalang anytime I stay overnight in Ubud. I would wake up 5ish AM and then drive to Tegalalang. The Ceking Rice Terraces is still so fresh, the restos and cafes are still closed. It is like you have the whole terraces for yourself. I also never miss to go down to the rice terraces and experience the fresh natural air. Crossing the river, talking to the farmers. Just enjoying the perfect nature!

“Rice Patty Scooter Ride”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

We did not walk, but rented a scooter for $5 CDN per day and headed north a 15-20 minute ride to see these outstanding terraced rice paddies. These are the one you would see on travel advertisements. Along the way are many homes of locals. Very cultural drive to see how people live, and other rice paddies are beautiful as well

“really pretty”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

Tegallalang rice terrace was very special!! Driver led us down some slippery steps to have a better view at the lower terraces but it was totally worth it. So pretty and magnificent! I expected something similar to the tea or paddy plantations i've seen in Malaysia but this was really something. Some parts have already been harvested but it wasn't bare and brown but still very green!

Would recommend to come here before paddy harvesting period because that's when its the prettiest! :) Would definitely come here again :)

“Unique!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2014

It is somehow unique as so far this is my first time seeing this.I believe we do not have this in Malaysia.
I went there right after my visit to Kintamani.
Nice capturing some photos with the rice terrace!
