“A crowded view of nice rice terraces”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

The view of terraces is really nice, if perhaps not as spectacular as I'd been hoping and expecting. But, wow, is the road traffic congested! Once you finally get up there and get your vehicle parked and you get back to your desired viewpoint somewhere there along the road, it's nice. As expected in Bali, there is no shortage of tourist shops lining the road to meet your needs, but they don't really interfere with the view.

“Lovely scenery!”

It's good to have this one included in your day tour of the Ubud area. This one offers a nice view of the rice terraces.

“Interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

Terraces are more interesting than most in other countries as they are readily available and follow modern cultivation methods. This country want to be self sustaining as to food and there is a rapidly growing population so they have taken advice and support from the worlds experts. Impressive response to an internal need.

“Beautiful”

Traffic sucked but it was worth it. It made me think of the ancient Mayan civilization. If you don't check it out while in Ubud you have missed out.
