“Yikes! It's Disney in Tegalalang?”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

Skip this unless you just have morbid curiosity. The parking is horrible, the street is clogged with tourists, the stall vendors are quite annoying, and the rice terraces look as if they belong in a Disney theme park. If you want to actually see the real rice terraces, have your driver take you to Seririt Menduk. Those are truly spectacular in an actual Bali setting.

“Sit, Coffee and Rice Terrace for relaxing time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

If you want a relaxing place to sit in front of rice terrace, this place can be an option. Bali Coffee and friend banana with red sugar sauce, fresh air, green view its just will make a day. If you want to shop a bit, try to go to a sign board store, its wash hand made and custom.

“Tourist Trap!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

Tegallalang does have a nice view of rice paddies but it is small and the shops around attempts to earn a quick dollar from tourists. There is even an entrance fee to view the rice terraces even though it is along a public road.

Instead, head over to Jatiluwih for much better and grandeur views of rice terrances! Jatiluwih is NOT an attraction but a settlement about 1.5 hours drive north of Tabanan. No entrance fees or touristy shops around. Jatiluwih is the true countryside of Bali. Drivers that you engage will most likely know where along the road to stop for a photo session.

“Awesome view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

Nice view of rice paddies while you enjoying your cool drink at one of the food vendors. The price of food there probably little bit dearer (with 16% tax). Parking will be bit tricky as the main street is quite narrow.

“There are better terraces on the drive there!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

It was packed with people and vendors. The terraces weren't that impressive compared to what we were seeing as we drove there. If you are short on time and just want some photos its fine, but if you take some time to look around you will find better views in Ubud.
