“Staff are always fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2012 via mobile

This is our second stay at villa Di abing. The staff are always so lovely and welcoming. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious and it is so lovely to come home from shopping being so hot and falling into your own private pool.
The sang spa next door has the best massages we have ever had in Bali.
We have never had any issues with the dogs around the front or alley near the villa. There are lots of dogs but they mind their own business.
As its Christmas the staff set up a tree for us and put tinsel around the dining area. Makes us feel very at home and festive.
I highly recommend staying here if you can get in, make sure you book well in advance.

As with other reviews, this villa is great. The pool was clean and the compound was spacious and very comfortable. The staff cooked breakfast for us every morning, and on our last day, stayed till 12.00pm just to send us off.

location was ok and within walking distance to ubud market (15 mins).

The only thing that was daunting about this villa is that if you intent to go home late (after 9pm) the alley just outside of this villa has about 5 dogs and you would have to walk pass them to get to your villa. This is a little scary and intimidating. However, the dogs are no problem if you have transportation to get you right to the doorsteps of the villa.

Would I stay in this villa again? Yes - friendly staff, clean and spacious. Value for money USD 800 plus for whole villa (3 rooms) for three nights.

We had a wonderful stay in Villa di Abing. What a treasure in the busyness of Ubud. The bedrooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated with great bathrooms. My mother-in-law was with us and we let her have the master suite that has the least stairs. For her the stairs down to the swimming pool were a bit hard to manage, once a day was enough. But since she stayed on ground level with the dining area etc it was just fine. We had dinner prepared at the villa twice and the food was fantastic. I would highly recommend doing that. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They helped organize tickets and rentals etc. They even volunteered staying with the kids so we could go out one time without them. There is a night guard on site. It is also very easy in Ubud to get transportation for those who can't walk too far. Very easy town that way.
I highly recommend this villa and we would just love to come back some time.

We just returned from spending a week in Ubud at the Villa di Abing. We had a group of 6 - 3 couples and we were there for a friend's wedding. Having seen a number of other (more expensive) resorts during the week I can safely say the villa was much nicer, better maintained, more central and relaxed. The pool is such a great place as well, we all spent a lot of time there in the afternoons chilling out together. The rooms are big and there is plenty of privacy to be had if required.
We received wonderful welcomes from all the staff and they were always happy to help us out if we required any assistance. The breakfasts were always fresh and well prepared.

A few minor notes to keep in mind
- Yes, the roosters start pretty early in the mornings. It didn't really bother any of us too much and you do get used to them after a couple of nights.
- The downstairs shower is visible from the back corner of the veranda. It really didn't matter to us, but should perhaps be looked at by the owners as a small improvement as it may concern some people.
- The spa next door is great, definitely worth a visit.

In conclusion, brilliant!

A group of five of us stayed at Villa di Abing for four days in March - and absolutely loved it!
The villa itself is breathtaking, I thought it was even more beautiful in real life than the photos I'd seen online. It spans three levels and the open plan really makes you feel like you're completely surrounded by nature.
The communal spaces are great for lounging, reading, sharing meals, playing games, etc and there is a gorgeous pool to swim in / lay around if you're home during the day (or in the evening - my husband had a few late night dips to cool down before bed!) There is a small library to use and I was chuffed to find books by David Sedaris there!
The bedrooms are gorgeous. Roomy, air conditioned and two have their own huge bathrooms with outdoor showers.
The staff are beyond lovely - they are just gorgeous. Any questions we had on arrival were easily answered and they helped with extra requests (like help with hiring bikes and finding medication for earaches and stomach bugs during our stay). They also prepared a delicious light breakfast each morning.
The Villa feels like it's away from the busyness of Ubud, because it's so peaceful there, but it's only a 5 minute walk from the central market, restaurants and cafes. It's also a 5 minute walk from the Yoga Barn, which I visited while in town.
Highly recommended!

My family of 4 were there in Dec 2011. We really enjoyed the peace and tranquility in this place. The entrance is at the end of a passageway off a quiet lane. The interior of the villa is not visible at all from the outside. There are no taller buildings nearby. The far side of the vila opposite to the entrance is surrounded by trees. Such is the seclusive and rather unique design of this villa. Yet it's just a ten minute stroll to central Ubud and the shops along the main axis. The raw food and vegetarian restaurants that we wanted to patronise were actually nearer to the villa than central Ubud.

For the price of USD200 per night, we had gotten the privacy and comfort of not one, but Three spacious bedrooms. Some villas are already charging more for the use of fewer suites.

My 2 kids, aged 7 and 8 , love dipping in the private swimming pool in the afternoons. My wife and i can keep an eye on them from the pool side deck chairs or from the balcony in the master suite above.

Ketut allowed me to pay the deposit in my local currency instead of having to change to USD. The staff burned mosquito coils for us while we're out so that all the mosquitos were repelled by the time we 're back. We did n't suffer any bites at all. There is a security guard just outside the entrance every night. Rooms and bathrooms were ket clean daily. Excellent service!

Only imperfection is the air con in the master suite can be stronger.

Highly recommended place to relax and rejuvenate !

The villa is really beautiful and tucked away in a quiet lane but within walking distance to all of Ubuds great restaurants and shops. The rooms are kept spotless by the great staff and nothing was too much trouble for them. The villa is designed so everbody has privacy but there is a central meeting place where we spent many hours with our family. I would certainly recommend this villa to anyone that wants the benifits of being in town but also wants some privacy away from the hustle of Ubud. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are going back again for Christmas with the family.
