“High range mid town”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

We rented a room here for four days in December.
We did not have a reservation and had two children with us. We paid over $100 for an average room w one mattress on the floor.
Breakfast is one egg, one toast small fruit platter and free coffee. Kids were still hungry after Brkfst.
Our room was suffice, however first thing noticed was linens were not clean and duvet was dirty too. Brown foot marks on walls beside beds, all they needed was a wash. One gets the feeling that mngmt does cut corners and skimps at customers expense. We were only customers in hotels admist a very busy season everywhere else.
Pool is very cool and refreshing we did enjoy it, nice lounge chairs. Internet is free in small restaurant area.

It was a last minute choice for us to stay here. The price was fair (about 50$ a night). The pool is small, looked a little bit slimy and was overrun by ants. The breasfast was included and quite acceptable. The room itself was comfortable, had all the necessary amenities and was spacious. Each room has an outside sitting area, which is nice. Unfortunately, the bathroom was really gross... It made me think of a bathroom you would encounter while camping (spider webs and the nastiest, moldiest shower curtain ever).
The location is ideal - right on Monkey Forest Road, steps away from many shops and good restaurants.
If you are not particular about your bathroom, this hotel is a good value.

The worst hotel where I was in Bali, fortunately only 1 night.
The bathroom was very very dirty (see pictures).
Sheet bed was full of stains.
Room wall and ceiling are full of damp stains.
Breakfast is ok but poor (you can bring only one pancake and one fruit juice).
Many people went away after one night.

Your other rooms may be nice but you, should not have given us a substandard room without telling us that was what we were getting. Very disappointed and will not rerurn.
We asked for a room for three people with a king bed and a s
Ingle. U gave us two singles and a mattress on the floor of a tiny dark room. But worst was the bathroom. It was filthy...grimy..broken toilet...open vent to a kitchen with garlic wafting through. Very depressing.

This wasn't actually our first choice at ubud since our previous one had a miscommunication with the online booking. Luckily the people from the website helped us with an alternative and pointed out Adi cottages.
Location was great, near restaurants, and istana ubud. Although nitelife at the streets of ubud is not that quite like the old days. You can still get a cozy and quite sleep at the cottage.
The staff were helpful and kind. Coffee and tea was 24hrs at the 'lobby' and so was free internet (they provide 2 computers free to use).
Breakfast was just ok. Nothing special. The pool seemed tempting ,no guest were swimming so you could probably have the pool to yourself.
We took thesuperior room ,on the second floor of the cottages, facing to the pool. Nice view.
Since we arrived at nite, the lightings at the cottages surroundings gave us a romantic impression.
Becareful of the stairs to your cottage, cant imagine if there were no help from the staff, bringing a big luggage is a challenge.
The rooms atmosphere was romantic. Quite clean. So was the bathroom,at nite..Morning was a different story. Not saying that it was dirty, but this place could need a better maintenance, considering it was not cheap.70$ per nite
overall great stay,.

Stayed In Adi cottages for 2 weeks.
Had a great time, place was very central in Ubud and the staff really made my stay wonderful.

I would recomend this place to anyone.

Room Tip: Looked at quite a few rooms in person. Found the suite's to be great value.

Stayed in Adi Cottages for two nights as we wanted to extend our stay in Ubud and our hotel (Sri Bungalows) was full and Adi Cottages is next door and had room.
Stayed in "Superior" room which was upstairs in one of the. cottages. It had a large balcony and the hotel grounds are attractively planted.

The twin room was quite small and had a TV with poor reception of local channels.

There was a bath with a shower but you were not encouraged to bathe as there was no plug. Standards of cleanliness, especially in the bathroom, were poor.

The beds had mosquito nets - neither useful nor ornamental as they were moth eaten.

There is a small pool which can easily be commandeered by a group of guests. Internet access is only available at the small breakfast area by the reception but it was good and free.

Breakfast was fine and added a choice of fried rice to the usual eggs, fruit and toast.

Service was friendly and they provided an early breakfast the day we left. Tried to get an early night before that but the noise from a band at a nearby bar meant sleep was not possible before midnight. Something families with children might think about.

US$ 70 a night was not particularly cheap either.
