“A FUN weekend.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2014

Visiting Bali and exploring Ubud are very familiar for Indonesian like me.
What different this time?
My daughter had a long stay with girlfriends for a week in Bali and wanted to have a different experiences on the weekend with me.
So I decided to take them to Taro, 30 minutes from Central Ubud...to experience the wildlife at the most popular Elephant Safari Park & lodge.
We stayed at one of the best family villas and everyone was so well entertained when the elephants started to visit our villa and asked us to have a 'jalan-jalan sore', or afternoon walk around the park. We enjoyed the ride so much.

The next day after our breakfast, we had an opportunity to bath the elephants, it was absolutely fun experience. The ride continue and we were thrilled when we entered the jungle behind the park for 30 minutes.

A night is enough to stay here... fun and entertaining.
The park is beautiful and specious.
The hospitality offers best experiences which handle by experience staff who mostly speak English.

Room Tip: All rooms are well located and ask the one in the centre where you can view the park in 360 degree.

This is probably my 7th visit here & I always enjoy it. I bring all my overseas visitors & it makes for a wonderful experience for them. A lot of people say it's too expensive & I agree the cost is high BUT--picked up at your door , driven quite a distance in an air conditioned vehicle, beautiful clean park & gardens, well treated animals & really lovely happy staff, great lunch & driven back home.
I think there is a lot of investment in training of staff & animals & safety is an important aspect here & the staff really care about the whole experience.
I will continue to bring visitors here

We had the most amazing three nights at the park. Even more special was being there over nyepi and quite literally nearly having the entire place to ourselves. There are no words to say how unique this place is. it is absolutely worth staying at least two nights to really get to know the people and animals.

The park manager was the most amazing host taking us out to see the local traditions and making sure every part of our stay was perfect. After informing the kitchen of my girlfriends gluten allergy every meal had a custom menu and custom basked gluten free bread! The food was really awesome as well.

Really hope to come back one day with our parents or kids.

Room Tip: If you can get a room with a view of the park. Waking up to the elephants was really cool. Staying u...

Visitted this Safari Logde for a 30 min elephant ride - totally overpriced. $140 for 2 adults and 1 kid - come on, we are in Bali, not in French Riviera...
Prices in their restaurant is on the same level.

Stay away!

We have visited this park on a day safari & have always thought it would be amazing to stay a night. So we booked a night for a friends 50th birthday & It was truly amazing & probably 1 of the most memorable stays I have ever had. It is a credit to the owner & the staff. No wonder it has been nominated as 1 of the top 10 places to stay. The elephants chauffeur you from your room to dinner at night then in the morning you get to bath & swim with the elephants which is something out of this world to experience. The contact you get with these beautiful animals is worth every dollar. Will stay longer next time as I am definitely going to return.

It's was a nice experience with my couple. Coming to get you to the room at night, and take you to dinner atop an elephant, can bath the elephants, feed them and swim with them is incredible and very exciting, one highly recommended experience

We have stayed at the safari park many times it is an annual pilgrimage when we visit Bali each year.
The staff are so friendly and a huge welcome on arrival everything is taken care of and a schedule of things to do is organised by reception the list of activities is terrific and a fantastic hands on with the elephants from feeding and bathing them to a day ride and also a fantastic night safari, the elephant will pick you up from your room take you on safari then take you to the restaurant for dinner
The accommodation is superb try and book a room so you can view the elephants from your balcony.
A must to visit this park so tranquil.
