Beautiful grounds and pool. Our room overlooked terraced rice fields and a jungle canyon. All you hear are the birds and the sound of flowing water from the patties and river.

Small and exclusive feeling. All the staff know you within minutes of arrival and are friendly, discrete and cater to every need. The hotel restaurant is great and we ate three meals a day there happily for the first couple of days.

About a ten minute walk up a narrow road through rice paddies and local restaurants to central Ubud, which is about as close as you would want to be. Easy short cut to Monkey Forest.

Room Tip: Ask for higher floor.

From the moment we arrived we only could say: wow, wow, wow.
We came here with very high expectations and I can only say the Komaneka more than exceeded our expectations.

At check in you feel very welcome. It was relaxing, sitting at the couche with a refreshing welcome drink. Everything was perfectly handled by Ninik. It didn’t feel like a check in, more like a nice talk about our stay and booking.

We stayed for 3 nights in a very spacious family suite. These suites are only available at the first floor but even on the first floor the view is magnificient. This suite comes with a nice sitting area (including a microwave, kettle, refrigerator), beautiful bathroom with a seperate rainshower and a bath with a view of the rice paddies! The beds were also very comfortable and you can get a blanket on request (our beds only had sheets and we like to have a blanket or duvet or something). The room also has a spacious walk in closet and the bathroom comes with lots of luxurious toiletries.
Every day we got fresh fruit (love the mangistan) and cookies in the room.

The Komaneka at Bisma has 2 pools. The main pool is beautifully situated between the rice paddies. Sometimes it was a little busy and not everyone could get a sun lounger but most of the time it was just fine. Sunbathing overhere felt so good on the nice loungers, with the cute white umbrellas and the rose water refreshing spray for the face. Hmmmm wish I was there right now!

We liked the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is a la carte in about 5 or 6 set menus but you can always order extra or change the menu if you want. I can recommend the bergadel Kesela ( I think this was the name). If you stay at the Komaneka you are allowed to take breakfast or the afternoon thea (which is included in your stay) at one of the other properties. They also provide free shuttles. We did it once at the Tangaduya, another beautiful sister resort. Breakfast overhere was also delicious!
At the restaurant at Komaneka Bisma there is a counter with different kind of kerupuks (rice crackers) which you can try for free. A nice touch!

The Komaneka at Bisma is well situated. It’s about a good 10 minutes walk to the shops but there is also a shuttle available several times a day.

And now about the staff, the people overhere…Well they surely manage to make you feel as a VIP or as their motto says: one of their family members. This is what hospitality is all about: they make sure they know you by name, every time you enter the restaurant or the lobby you will be greeted by name. They all do their best to fulfill your preferences.

I hope to return to this hotel next time, and will be able to stay longer than 3 nights!

We are five nights into a six night stay and could not wait to write a review. We came here with very high expectations because friends had stayed here and from Trip Advisor reviews but I have to say it exceeded even these high expectations. The resort is beautiful, the rooms are large and inviting with great balconies. Ask for a suite on the 3rd or 4th floor for better views. The entire resort exudes peace. Every staff member is so friendly and they keep saying "welcome home" and it feels that way. The location is a short ten minute walk to the center of Ubud but feels like a world apart. The infinity pool is to die for, the breakfast is wonderful and pretty much they give you what you ask for even though there are about seven set menus to choose from. Afternoon tea is served every day. Although we have only stayed at this Komaneka I have walked by several others and think this location is best for quiet, high end service and location. If you come to UBUD stay here for certain.

The perfect location for a luxury stay in Ubud, set in a river valley with jungle views from my private pool yet close enough to walk into town and Monkey Forest. I stayed here several years ago and am happy to report that they have maintained their high standards. The staff are very friendly and efficient, happy to help organize whatever you may be interested in. The spa is lovely, meticulously clean and you are relaxing to the sounds of the cascading river and local birds.

Interesting architecture with beautiful setting of swimming pools and garden. Impressive views of rice fields and forest from reception area and room. Very friendly staff, especially mrs. Abe and her colleagues. For any problem, for us the Apple TV system in the room, they were happy to solve it quickly. Restful place and near the city center.

Room Tip: We stayed in a suite (not villa) but surely the room is large enough. Second and third floor have be...

We have just come back from our six days stay at Komaneka at Bisma. The experience well exceeded my expectation.

The hotel is well located in a beautiful and peaceful part of Ubud. Lovely decor throughout the hotel with some local artist's paintings and sculptures. Excellent facility and amenities. My husband and I enjoyed so much the wonderful massage and heavenly treats in the beautiful spa. Our children enjoyed the swimming pool and the afternoon tea very much. Loved the spiritual mist in the forest at dawn and tranquil ambience with candle lights at dusk.

The true highlight of the hotel was their outstanding service by all the staff. We have well travelled to various famous resort and city hotels but the excellent service with warm smile and the attention to the details at the Komaneka at Bisma is no comparison.

Thank you all the hard working staff for making our stay so comfortable and relaxing. Highly recommended this resort to everyone!!!

Having been fortunate to experience several 5* hotels, this surpasses them all. The villa we stayed in was beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. The views from our own infinity pool of the rainforest were magical. Flower petals decorated the beds on arrival, baths were deep and luxurious, soft cotton nightshirts, bedtime Balinese stories were only some of the thoughtful touches. The food was delicious. however the highlight of the stay was the personal service that each and every member of staff was keen to offer. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. A quiet idyll yet only a 10 minute walk to bustling Ubud. Lots of activities to do (white water rafting, cycling through paddy fields and remote villages, Balinese cooking - all organised easily from and by the hotel). Please go and stay here. You won't regret a moment.

Room Tip: If you can, stay in one of the pool villas - you really should. Infinity pool with views into the ra...
