“VERY GOOD STAY!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

We arrived in Ubud after almost 48 hours flying from Spain via Dubai and Jakarta. Definitely, we found a piece of heaven there. Quiet place, 10 minutes walking from the main road. Helpful staff. When you open the door of the room you have a rice field view. Comfortable room, very clean. Just be careful with the mosquitoes at sunset and sunrise time. Highly recommended the bike tour they offer in the homestay.
The only bad point...bamboo walls, so you hear everything happening in the room close to yours.

We arrived end of July and have been there four nights. We booked through agoda, cheap price for adequate service, simple nice breakfast, very very kind people and really great location. If you're not looking for luxe, but just want the basics this is the place! Very simple but charming rooms, basic private bathroom with shower and hot water, free wifi almost everywhere, in the middle of a very nice garden looking on a romantic ricefield. Palms, flowers, magic atmosphere in the heart of Ubud, which is outstandingly the best place where to stay in Bali. Just one hour and a half by car from international airport, surrounded by all main attractions, Sacred Monkey Forest a ten minutes walking, restaurants of all kind, lovely shops, temples, spa, everything you need. Highli recommeded!

The place is charming, the owners are nice, the decor is pleasant. Situated on a rice paddy in a great location. Next to cafe's, yoga studios, shops, and many other attractions. The only negative was the ants that fall from the ceiling. I you look around, they are all over the place. I read a review about this and decided to take my chances, but it was too much to bare and they bite! Had to relocate, but if this situation is fixed, it's a lovely place to stay.

Room Tip: check for ants on the roof or mosquito nets

Jati has lovely spacious rooms with very comfortable beds and a great balcony overlooking a paddy field.

It is ideally located on Hannoman which has fab shops and is close to all the other bustling streets of Ubud.

The staff here are friendly enough, yet i didn't receive the nicest of welcomes.

Unfortunately, Breakfast service is fairly slow and you don't get to choose what you would like to eat. Also, the walls that separate the rooms are made from woven bamboo, so you can hear everything in the room next-door (I suggest good ear plugs!) the shower thankfully is hot, but barely felt with the useless showerhead.

Jati Home Stay is fantastic. The rooms and overall setting were beautifully designed by the owner, with lovely artwork and hand-crafted furniture that Jati made himself. His family is friendly and welcoming; the rooms were as clean as I would expect them to be in the western world; and the family compound is located just off Hanoman in Ubud.

Prices are extremely reasonable, and views from the private (and furnished) balconies are gorgeous.

Room Tip: Rooms closer to the dining area get noise in the morning from guests eating breakfast. If you are a...

Jati Home Stay is the apex of our experience Ubud. The setting and the facilities s are simply superb. Dewa, his wife and his staff could not be more helpful and hospitable. While we were there, we took lessons in dancing, painting, offering-making, gamelan music and kite-making. Simply, excellent!
