Bambu Indah isn't a hotel or a resort, it's an experience. From the moment you arrive you are in an eco-paradise, sat with a cup of fresh coconut juice watching the gardeners tend to the organic veggie patches.
We stayed in Kolam House, the only house to have it's own private garden. While the views from Kolam don't look across the valley to the neighbouring rice paddies like the other houses, Kolam boasts privacy and your very own fish pond. Even though the houses are eco in size and set up, there are little touches of luxury (I wish I could get Bambu Indah's organic shampoo at home!)
Afternoon tea with home made banana bread every day, morning yoga, relaxing massages and delicious breakfasts to set you up for a day of Ubud exploring just add to the overall experience. We loved the natural pool, chatting to the horticulturist in the gardens and taking in the view from the treehouse (once my legs had de-wobbled!). Staff are so friendly and helpful, they made you feel like it was a pleasure to help you.
Bambu Indah will stay in our memories for a long time. I can't wait to go back!
