We stayed at Segara Village Hotel for 8 days during february 2013. The facilities was great and the service excellent. Nice and clean bungalows, great poolareas, great garden and a nice private beach.

The restaurants served excellent food and fruitdrinks. The staff at the hotel was extremely helpful with everything concerning bookings for golf, boattrips etc.

We can highly recommend this hotel if you would like to stay at a nice, peaceful hotel in Sanur, Bali!

Even after our 9th stay at Segara Village we aretrilled with this hotel. We are always impressed by the friendliness of all the hotel staff. Especially through the personal gest care. The rooms are generous and with good equipment.
The breakfast is verry good and plentiful. Each desire will be fulfilled by friendly staff immediately.
The stay is always pure pleasure and recreation, also by the wonderfull well-kept exotic garden. Certainly we will continue to visit this hotel and we can it all Bali-visitors absolutely recommend.

Segara village is spread out in village style accommodation very beautiful close to shopping or the beach. Friendly staff beautiful gardens. Close to Sindu Beach , the surrounding restaurants on the beach have a varied menu of both Indonesian and western food the local shopping is very good with some fixed price shops if you don't want to barter it's also good to gauge the correct price of things when you do barter . The Balinese are a friendly group of people

As an ex travel agent I always had great feedback from my clients after sending them to the segara village so I thought I'd try it out for myself. I wanted a quiet laid back holiday away from the hustle and bustle and thought sanur would be the perfect place to do it. The price was extremely cheap for our four nights and I was soon to find out why. Upon arrival we were advised that the cottage rooms we booked were fully booked and we would be receiving an upgrade to a bungalow. When shown to our room it was clear these needed refurbishing with broken towel rails, hot tap on the bath not working and just general wear and tear. I wasn't to fazed however we also received 2 single beds instead of the king we requested. We pushed the beds together to make do as we were told they had no rooms with king beds available either. Besides that the hotel grounds are lovely and well maintained.

However majority of guests are 40+ in age who get up early then reserve all the sun lounges. The hotel has a policy that if goods are left unattended for 2 hours then they will remove them however this was not enforced and as a result sun lounges were never available.

Also during our stay a wedding was held. We were told the day before that this would occur however we hadn't anticipated the problems that would result. The noise was terrible. Music was played so loudly from early morning onwards that it ruined the quiet holiday I hoped for. In conjunction with a 2 day sanur beach party that occurred the noise was unbearable. Several pools and restaurants were also closed to guests because of the wedding forcing us to stay in our rooms and order room service to avoid it all.

A few other points of annoyance included charging us to call our transfer company to reconfirm, when asked to call a taxi they booked us transport instead which charged an extra 50000 rupiah as they had to pay commission to the hotel and when my friends lost their room key and were told the hotel had no spare they advised they would have to call a locksmith to change the lock costing $25. Fair enough because they lost the key however we were told it would be done while we went to dinner and upon our return my friends were told they couldn't get a locksmith until the morning. How were they meant to get in their room? Luckily my friends found their original key.

On another note hotel food was mediocre and service was incredibly slow (I.e waiting up to 20 mins to receive drinks).

I think with some renovations and more fine tuned customer service a lot of these issues could be avoided and it could be a great value for money hotel. However if the sight of grandpa in speedos offends you this hotel is not for you.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The layout of the resort made it feel smaller than it really was. The breakfast was good and there was a lot to choose from. The room was comfortable and clean. The food at the hotel restaurants was good.
