“Clean, friendly - Good Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2012

We stayed here for 1 night prior to our Liveaboard Dive Trip. It was a very good choice as it is centrally located. The room was large, bright, and clean. We had a ground floor room overlooking the pool. Breakfast was very good and the Staff could not have been nicer to us. We will stay here again on our next trip to Bali.

Picked this place from Agoda.com as we were just passing through for one night before our flight leaving Bali. We felt it was a bit of a splurge at IDR 450,000 (including breakfast). The room itself was very well decorated with traditional art, nice linens, tv and small balcony overlooking the pool. The bathroom on the other hand, looked very worn around the edges with the bathroom a little dingy and borderline dirty. Overall we were happy enough here although felt that we could have found better value if we'd had more time and energy. Breakfast was disappointing – both the western and balinese breakfast were very small and there wasn't much choice (choose juice or coffee/tea). Location wasn't the best, a couple cafes nearby but otherwise the main beach and strip were a good 10 minute walk away. This wasn't the best place we stayed, and it certainly wasn't anywhere close to great value, but it was good enough if you want to be sure to stay a night at a comfortable place

We stayed in August 2010.

As backpackers, this was a little "upscale" and for those more accustomed to staying in hotels, this place should meet all your needs.

WIFI was mostly reliable.

Short walk to beach and restaurants... medium walk to night market or easy shared cab ride.

Breakfast served at tables in front of your room.

We'd stay there again.

Room Tip: there are family style rooms and 2nd level rooms that are a bit more secluded. The pool is small bu...

We found this guest house via 'google'...we first tried the 3 night package, but we end up staying 2 weeks there! the staff is very very friendly, helped us with everything. They even drove us to the ATM, and the shopping mall! Also the banana pancakes were the best ever! we loved it there. it is nice and quiet, very nice and big room, with a bath/shower and toilet..nice decoration and the pool is small, but there are not that many rooms, so the pool is never over-occupied...
The room got cleaned every day, nothing bad to be said about it. the staff really tried to help its customers and especially Rai (staff member) was very friendly, gave us advice on how to deal with the indonesian culture, and thought us a lot about the indonesian way of live.
The location is about 10 minutes walk away from the beach/ or by bus 2 minutes, good restaurants and shops are nearby..what else do you need?
I would really recommend the promotional package, we got a whole day tour around the island, you can go where ever you like, you dont have a set program, so it is up to you what you want to see, ofcourse with advice of the tourguide. The balinese massage was something different...i know it is tradition, but it was quite harsh..it hurt..:) No offense to the ladies, but it is not my cup of tea...I would really go back to this guest house, because it is a nice, quiet and very service oriented guest house! And not to forget: the package also includes a round trip airport transfer.. i really recommend this, since the airport is very chaotic and unfriendly.

I was for one night in Puri Sindhu Mertha Guest House travelling to gili island from Ubud in september 2001.
The room was not cleaned and the linen was full of hole and not very clean.
I don't know how an experience in this hotel could be defined as fantastic. The rate was not bad, 450.000 rupia per night per room but the only think I look for into an hotel is the clean space, and this hotel do not have anything of clean.

We were booked into the Guest House and were upgraded to the new Town House which was great. It is over the other side of the By Pass, but transport was provided for when ever we needed it and only about $AU2 by Blue Bird Taxi from Hardys in Sanur back to the house. 2 large double bedrooms with huge bathrooms 1 upstairs and 1 down opening onto the pool, and 1 smaller bedroom with small bathroom upstairs. 2 living rooms 1 up stairs and 1 down, good basic kitchen and a very nice pool with sun deck.

My wife and i was on our honeymoon there from july 20-27.stay in the guesthouse upon referal from a friend. Its a nice cosy place.the room is spacious and comfy except for the bathroom and its far from the beach but overall its a nice quiet place to stay in.the staff is frendly, the pool is just outside your room if you are on the first floor, good breakfast(but not variety to choose from) and there's lots of convinent store across the street..a salon,a japanese restaurant, diving school etc...definitely will be back if i'm coming to Bali again...

Room Tip: room are clean every single day even if you doesn't request for it...excellent service.
