We stayed here for three nights and had a very enjoyable experience. This trip to Bali is being made by 3couples (1. in their early 20's; 2nd couple - mid 40's; 3rd couple in their mid 60's)
Our room was in the older section of the Ari Putri - paid (US)$38pn including breakfast. We were on the third floor and found it very comfortable and clean.
The 20yr olds stayed in the new part of the Hotel - paid US$60pn incl breakfast. Their room was absolutely beautiful. This couple is use to staying in 4 & 5star resorts and they said their room was just as good as a 4star resort room.
The older couple stayed in the older part of the hotel like us, unfortunately their room (on the 2nd floor) was smelly and had quite a bit of mould in it. They slept in it for the first night, then asked to be moved. They were given a room on the ground floor. Again there was a smell, but this time only very slight and once the Air Con had been going for a while the smell disappeared. Other than the smell, the room itself was large and very comfortable.
The facilities at the Ari Putri are excellent - 2 pools, WiFi, beautiful gardens, good coffee shop and a restaurant at the front. We ate one night at the restaurant and the meals were quite good for the price, however would not recommend the Pizza's - 20somethings had ordered Pizza's and they were very substandard. The rest of us ordered various other dishes - all were good.
The staff at the Ari Putri are lovely and very helpful.
The breakfasts at the Ari Putri as very similar to any of the breakfasts you would find in most hotels in Bali - various egg dishes cooked to your liking, and small buffet offering. One thing I didn't like about the breakfast was the coffee and tea, the coffee is quite horrible and the tea was in a large pot with only 2teabags, pot was constantly 'topped up' thus making it very weak. The other thing I didn't like was that the jug of milk was not kept cold.
We would definitely stay here again, it's fantastic value and wonderful staff.
Try not to get room number 215 - has a 'damp' problem
