This property is on a main road, miles from any restaurants or any thing at all.
The rooms are a good size and clean and tidy but I would never stay again as its just toooooooo far from anything.
You need to get a taxi to every thing and they are hard to find unless you want to be ripped off and pay one of the hotel drivers.
We only stayed one night and that was to long for me.

Thank you for contributing to the TripAdvisor website. We appreciate your positive comments with regards to the room but it was disappointing you did not take advantage of our back gate. It is a mere 7 minute walk to Hardys and the surrounding restaurants and other 8 minute walk to the beach. We also have a shuttle that runs every hour to Hardy’s and to our dedicated beach site.

The 3 bedroom suite were great. It was spacious, with living room, dining room, kitchen with all the amenities (Gas stove, microwave, toaster, fridge, cooking utensils).
It's really a good place to have a family bonding time. It could be better if they renovate the rooms though, because they're a little old.
The have two pool area, both are nice. My kids loved it. And breakfast was average, but it was okay.

Currently staying at suites in two bed apartment. Plenty of guests at breakfast but only 2 other families around pool. Great to have such a large pool to ourselves.
Personally found Sanur very quiet during day, with most shops selling tourist type wares.
Dont worry about being on the main by-pass, as noise not audiable in room (prob due to aircon running 24 hrs a day!!)

CONS:- Limited Cooking Utensils
Only two TVs in a 2 bed suites
No socket in 2nd bed hence no tv
Pool for slide exit too small if busy
Hard to locate if driving hired car.
Not well located for shopaholics

PROS:- Very Friendly staff
Great main pool
Good Breakfast - Quality and choice
Great beds in rooms, but could be prob if over 1.85 mts in height
Unit clean and large
Free WIFI, with 3 day rotating password, though not secure
Free shuttle to beach & Supermarket (10 min walk though back alley, but no
fun if it has rained heavy overnight)
Check-in quick and easy
Great for kids up to 12/13 (with 2 pool tables, ping pong, videos and computer games
all available at kids club at no cost)( $7.00 cost for
supervised activites and lunch)

TIPS:-

Buy two 600ml of water bottles from airport, then use the free 5 gallon(approx 26lts) water dispensing machine in room to top up each night and place in fride for next day. Note you only get 1 free 5 gallon bottle per week.

If you want a hetic holiday stay in kuta/legian, if you want the high end quiet holiday stay in Nusa Dua. Here at the Paradise you get a good holiday at a very reasonable price (well I did).

With the airport being redeveloped for the big asian meet-up planned for 2015, allow extra time for checking in at airport.

Shopping is Bali was not a cheap this year as last, maybe the Financial crisis has been forgotten and prices have been increased. Though with the IDR at 10,000 to the AU$, there is always a bargin to be found.

Bali Galiria on the by-pass, seemed to be the best shopping for us, though the Discovery Mall in Kuta still having the larger number of different shops, but at higher prices.

What ever you decide, it is always great to spend a week relaxing in Bali.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view room if you are planning to cook for yourself, as these units have the oven as w...

I have a two childrens and a 6month old baby
This is probably our third stay at the plaza suites and we truly love it...The rooms are spacious well maintained and very clean..this is a credit to all staff
The kids club is great -special mention to Bling - what a great staff member he is - truly an asset - Jake just truly thinks of him as a friend.
The food is very resonably priced- can not be faulted really...

The staff are outstanding. The pool is very clean and great for the kids. We have a 13 year old and an 11 year old so both camp splash and the main pool were well used. Great for families of younger children too! As the camp splash staff are exceptional. The terrace suites restaurant is well located in the middle of the hotel so all apartments are easy to get to. The younger kids are better near to the pool/camp splash area! The shuttle bus is easy and you meet fellow travellers/families. The walk to the shops is easy and if you want other hotel restaurants the shuttle bus or taxi (for dinner) is fine. The buffet breakfast is terrific! Short shuttle bus/taxi ride to the main Sanur shops restaurants for a change of scene. Also not too far to Kuta or Legian! Our 3rd trip and stay here with the kids so they were happy!

Room Tip: younger kids /pool rooms, dearer but closer to supervise.

Thank you for a wonderful review of the Sanur Paradise Plaza Suites. As a returnee guest your comments are very rewarding. The most common praise we get is the staff, we are very lucky to have exceptional staff working for us to ensure that you have a memorable holiday. We are very happy with the back gate, although physically we are still in the same location but literally we are now so much closer to the beach. We look forward to welcoming you back on your 4th visit to the Sanur Paradise Plaza Suites.

On arriving at the suites we (a family of four with two kids, 12 and 9) were certain the driver had made a mistake, as the nondescript exterior and location (on the busy airport by pass) didn't accord with the positive commentary about this establishment.

But our spirits soon lifted after the efficient receptionist directed us to to the pool side apartment, which had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and dining and lounge area and was big enough to house a football team (not that we did). It was also modern (recently renovated) and spotless with a nice balcony from which we could watch the kids in the pool while sipping a G&T or two.
.

We were also pleasantly surprised by the free wi-fi, the buffet breakfast (which we thought wasn't included) and the welcome gifts of a free dinner at the Terrace restaurant (three courses), two half-hour massages, four free ice creams and four bottles of Bintang.

The expansive main pool (with a volleyball net and basketball rings) was better than average and the poolside service was attentive. In fact the service overall was friendly and couldn't be faulted, with a notably more relaxed attitude to aspects such as dispensing poolside towels (in other words they're not towel nazis who assume every guest wants to nick them).

Requests for porterage and a request to fix a dripping system were swiftly attended to, although it took two efforts to get someone to help with the room safe on arrival.
.
Previous reviewers have noted the waterslide in the separate pool, which kept our kids (and indeed dad) happy for hours.

We didn't avail of the Camp Splash kids club, but the friendly staff appeared to be quite watchful in terms of the aquatic stuff and we were more than welcome to avail of the facilities (somewhat antiquated pool tables and table tennis tables in the main). We would suggest management spend a modest sum sprucing up the tired Camp splash area.

A frequent and valid criticism of the complex is that it's not really close to the beach and the main drags of shops and restaurant. But the once fabled (and now existent) back gate rectified this, in that there's a shopping strip about 300 metres down a quaint and puddly lane. The more central parts of Sanur and the beach are accessible by the shuttle bus, although it's infrequent and doesn't always seem to run to timetable. Taxis or the ubiquitous cars for hire will do the job for around $2 although brief bargaining is usually required, even for the Bluebird taxi drivers who were often reluctant to use their meters for a short journey. We recommend a good stock of 5000, 10,000 or 20,000 rupiah notes as they're reluctant to give change.

There are a number of good restaurants on the bypass road within walking distance, such as a quirky French-style joint called Tartine. Just be careful of the cracked pavements and open drains, especially at night.
For a change of scenery, guests have reciprocal rights to the facilities at the plaza hotel 1km down the road (eg pool, games room and a tennis court we didn't use but which incurs a charge).

The location may deter travellers who really want to be next to a beach, but in our experience they're often grotty anyway and a haven for hawkers and most folk prefer the hotel pool.

The plaza apartments are great value for families and non-families alike and we would happily recommend them.

We stayed for 7 nights in early January, with a late 6 pm checkout at little extra cost.

Thank you for writing such a positive review of the Sanur Paradise Plaza Suites on the TripAdvisor website. The by-pass road can be a bit busy but once inside the property it is an oasis of spacious rooms and great pools to entertain the small and the big kids. Free Wifi is standard with all rooms for up to 2 devices. We have very dedicated staff who are always willing to help and we are very happy that you enjoyed your stay with us. We have just completed installing thicker windows along the roadside and we have now eradicated the road noise. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Sanur Paradise Plaza Suites on you next visit.
