“Wonderful vacation!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2014

Very well located hotel in the heart of Sanur on the beach with 2 pools. Large bedroom with A/C, fridge, lots of storage room, large terrace and clean. The quiet compound which has a lot of plants, flowers and trees is well maintained. Safe environment.
Very friendly and helpful staff, when I lost my banking card Agus, the hotel manager, came with me to the bank to help me.
Walking distance to restaurants, shops, market, etc.
Restaurants on the beach are wifi.
Breakfast could be more varied and the beach umbrellas in better shape.
Spent more than 2 weeks and would go again!

Room Tip: Chose a room near the pool if you want wifi in your room. Corner suite are large and quiet.

Have stayed here previously and said we wouldn't return but we got a great online rate so decided to give it another go. It is still run down, only the gardens seem to be well maintained. Staff are very friendly. We didn't like the upstairs room we had been given but staff immediately moved us. There are a big difference in rooms here, it pays to check them out on arrival. When we stayed the hotel was only 30% occupied. Good position, breakfast in their beachside restaurant is great. Good variety and plenty of it. WiFi in lobby and restaurant is okay. Pools are clean and inviting. For the rate we paid this was good value for money.

Room Tip: Check out the rooms on arrival and don't be afraid to ask to move or for an upgrade.

Did not have a good start with the Gazebo. I had pre arranged airport pick-up but there was no one there to meet us on arrival, I had to get the airport to phone the Gazebo and they advised would be better off catching a taxi, We received a complimentary fruit basket as an aplogy.
We paid for 2 villa Joglo's but were given Villa Kayus, which I would liken to a wooden hut, also there was not enough roo for the average size man to brush teeth or shave at the vanity basin as the area was too small
I would recommend only booking a villa if you can have villa Joglo 1,2 or 3, otherwise they are not worth the extra money
The breakfast was buffet style, basic but average, there were eggs cooked to order, tea, coffee, juice, nasi and mie goreng, tomato and cheese slices and toast
The Gazebo is in a good location on the beach.

Room Tip: Only book a villa if you can have villa Joglo 1,2 or 3 otherwise the other types of rooms are cheape...

We stayed in a family room which was alittle tired but served it's purpose. The staff were very friendlyand helpful. Little things like the air con was switched on before we arrived so the room was nic and cool on arrival.
the location was fantastic I love walking on the beach promenade in the early morning or taking a short stroll up the beach for dinner.
Th e beds were comfortable and the hot water was good and hot. For the price it was good.

We stayed in Villa Joglo 5 for 6 nights last week. We had a fantastic time here and found the villa very comfy and clean. Was great being at the rear end of the property, close to the beach. Water on Sanur beach was just perfect for stand up paddleboarding.
Staff at the hotel were great & friendly and breakfast was adequate.
We will be going back to Gazebo at Christmas time, can't wait.

The hotel is in need of some tlc and renovations of the bathrooms and exteriors but it does have an interesting and different feel to it. the restaurant setting is great but the breakfast was a bit ordinary. a small amount of money and care could lift the gazebo immeasurably.

We stayed here in January. The staff were lovely and helpful.
We stayed in room 222 which is upstairs and has two single beds in the main room and one single bed in a separate room. The rooms were very spacious and clean.
The bathroom was also very clean and large, the shower pressure was very bad though and the bath dirty/stained.
The grounds were lovely, lots of plants and the pool area was beautiful and clean. The main pool by the restaurant is amazing with comfy loungers.
The only downside was the massage ladies who wouldnt leave us alone and didnt want to take no for an answer, they kept coming back every ten minutes when we were trying to relax.
The restaurant has a good variety of meals and the breakfast was good, lots of choice from eggs, fresh fruit and toast to Indonesian meals.
The beach there is beautiful. I would recommend staying here
