“An excellent 1st dinner in Sanur - next door to Hyatt”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

I chose this cafe based on how close it is to the Hatt for our first dinner. It was great. We gt there early as we were still on Syndey time & found the service good & friendly. Bintang was ice cold. The table over looking the beach was great & our daughter could play happily as we finished our meal.
The food was honest, tasty & well priced. We will be back!

“Decent place to eat close to Hyatt Bali Sanur”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

As soon as you arrive at the Hyatt Beach on your right hand side, within 100 feet, is this delightful cafe. They serve three variants of set breakfasts (American - With cooked eggs and sausages, Australian - American + Beans etc, Indonesian), all of them come with coffee, toast and a side of freshly cut fruits.Though a bit pricey (approx 55K Rupiah incl. taxes), compared to other fare in town and definitely a steal compared to the Hyatt, the quantity is just enough to give you a decent start to the day.

We also had lunch on a couple of ocassions, though it was average. Staff are good and the views are worth it, if you do not mind the next door water sports chaps to distract you.

“Excellent Value for Money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

Set on the beach with nice view, only problem is if someone decides to work on their boat you can get fumes from their engine. Enjoyed the Fish and Chips at 49,000++, also Club Sandwhich at 45,000++ both good value for money. Bintang Beers at 31,000++ for a large.

“Reasonable food in a good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

We had a couple of lunches here this trip - the primary draw card is the location. The tables right on the beach are perfectly positioned not just to catch a cooling breeze, but for hours of free entertainment watching the guys next door teaching people how to waterski, and watching them take people parasailing ( I must say, they seemed very good at their job!). I found the food average - nothing wrong with it at all, but nothing to write home about, but that's probably because it does cater more to the western palate, while I prefer a bit more pizazz. That said, on our second visit, the 7 yr old raved about her pizza and ate the whole lot, and the 13yr old said the club sandwich was one of the best she'd had in Bali, and loved the chicken satays, which were nicely cooked and served on a traditional brazier.

“Decent cafe experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

La Playa cafe is just located next to the Bali Hyatt on the beachfront, as all beach side cafes it has an option of sitting facing the beach though I will say the view is not that great and since its by the walkway there is no privacy. The cafe is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, for breakfast you will find choices of English, Australian and Indonesian breakfast, the same item can also be ordered A la carte. For lunch and dinner you have choice of international and local favourites, the quality ,portion size and presentation are good. They also have a drinks menu which is good by the cafe standards. Service is warm, friendly and quick. A live band performs in the evening on selected days. In all a good place to have cheap and decent food by the beach.
