I stayed here early Nov for 5 nights. The hotel is NOT located on the main street in Sanur where most of the hotels and shops in Sanur are located, but the hotel offers a free shuttle almost every hour, which takes you through the main street of Sanur, and stops at a large supermarket and also at the Paradise Plaza suites ( which has a pool with slides for the kids).
The hotel on the Highway/Bypass but surprisingly can't hear the street noise from the rooms. It's a 3 min walk to the beach, which has a boardwalk stretching almost the length of the beach ( about 7kms). Across the road is KFC and Dunkin Donuts for those who need a fast food hit.
Right next to the lobby is an area under construction, looks like it's going to be a huge auditorium, this hotel is popular for conferences, but it was all boarded up and not an inconvenience for guests.
I stayed in a room with twin beds- clean, comfortable, good a/c, bathroom has shower over bath. haridryer in the drawer in the room. Room has a safe and hangers in the closet. Nearly all rooms face the long winding pool. The hotel now has a green option - you can choose whether the sheets and towels are changed daily ( if you go green, you are in the running to win dinner for 2 in their cafe, nice incentive)
Pool is clean, plenty of lounges, only one part of the pool was not available for use as under maintenance and the pool attendant told me that. It's only 1.54 metres deep so good even for kids, though there is a shallow kids pool at one end.
The spa is overpriced though - suggest you try Cozy's in Kuta for upmarket treatment without the price tag.
Gym was great, all equipment working., a tv per treadmill ( I think they had 7 or 8?) so you can catch up on your news while working out, good weights area too. Locker area clean, toilets clean, towels clean!
We had a buffet provided by the restaurant for both lunch and dinner ( for the conference) and the food was excellent. Breakfast was in the restaurant, great variety of foods both Western and Indonesian, loved the caramel and vanilla coffee options.
Loved the Balinese architecture and landscaping throughout - you knew you were in Bali, not just another soulless name brand hotel that looks the same anywhere in the world. Top marks for that.
