We came to stay here by accident as we had booked another hotel, Raspati, and they lost our reservation so they moved us into the Mecure. Its a little out of the way being at the far end of Sanur beach but they provide a shuttle bus to take you to the main supermarket/department store in the main part of Sanur. The reception people were very welcoming and helpful, our room was excellent being right on the beach. It was clean spacious and had a view of one of the pools and was close to the breakfast area. We walked along the promenade and found some lovely places to eat and enjoyed the ambiance of the hotel overall. The cost was reasonable, A$110.00 a night, and overall I would definitely stay there again. As a tip to others I would say anything you want to buy from the street vendors is available at Hardys Supermarket as cheap if not cheaper without all the bargaining hassles.

Room Tip: The beach side rooms get more breeze and have a view or at least an outlook.

Located rite on the beach with a lovely sea breeze the hotel is ideal for those looking for an authentic bali holiday. Plenty to see and do, lots of small shops and spas and an amazing yoga centre right next door. Food was great and good value for money, staff where very helpful and our deluxe room was spacious and very clean.

Room Tip: Ask to be near the beach for a nice breeze and view. Both swimming pools are lovely but we felt the...

We have just returned from 8 nights at the Mercure in a Deluxe room. The room was extremely spacious and easily accommodated my husband, myself and our teenage daughter. There was plenty of storage area so we could each have a space to put our things and not feel as though we were tripping over each other. There were also a number of powerpoints in the room for charging which is not always the case. You will need to provide your own adaptors though. The bathroom was extremely large and well set out with storage and hanging space at one end. Our king size bed was one of the most comfortable I have experienced in a hotel. Usually I arrive home with a bad back from too hard beds but this one was perfect. Our room was ground floor and had its own little courtyard style garden which was bordered by shrubbery so quite private. From our arrival to departure the staff were always friendly. The gardens are just beautiful and well maintained. There are two pools, one is at the beach end of the hotel near the restaurant. Limited number of sun lounges here but there are plenty on the beach itself where there is ample shade from the many trees and you can move the lounges around to wherever suits you. The other pool is set in from the beach. You can borrow bikes free of charge from the hotel and ride along the boardwalk for a few km's where there are many restaurants and little shop stalls. Retro restaurant is just to the left of the hotel ( about 30 metres) exiting on the beach side, great for breakfast and lunch. Next to the Mercure on the left (beach side) is the Sanur Beach Hotel. We stayed here last year also in a deluxe room which was much smaller and more expensive than the Mercure but their pool area is beautiful. If you walk along the boardwalk you will come to a number of little restaurants. One of our favourites was Toro Restaurant, fresh white wicker furniture right on the beach and great food at really cheap prices. The Mercure is a little out of the way at the very southern end of the beach but there are some treasures just nearby. Trophy Pub (exit onto the street side and walk to your right) has fantastic Mexican Food. Facials at Kamala Villas are conducted in a beautiful setting for about $15 for an hour and Vins Leather Goods offer great value leather handbags. Taxis are plentiful and cheap, $2 (20,000 Rp) to get to the other end of town, just make sure to ask the driver to put the meter on! They will try and negotiate a higher price with you otherwise. Dining options are plentiful but we highly recommend Mona Lisa, Cinnamon and for a fun night of music make sure you hit Casablanca. Live music every night and a manager who remembers everyones names. A popular spot with the ex pat community who often take to the stage themselves with the band! The only negative experience we had with the Mercure is the woeful Wi-Fi. It is incredibly slow and drops out often so trying to get work done was a nightmare. We overcame this by having breakfast at Toros or Lutus Cafe up near Sindu Markets at the other end of town) where the Wi-Fi was great and the food cheap and delicious. The taxi rides to anywhere really only take 5 or so minutes as Sanur is much quieter than Seminyak and Kuta. We have also stayed at the Griya Santrian which is right in the heart of the action but this is also reflected in the price. Overall, the Mercure offered exceptional value for money and we would certainly return and recommend this property to our family and friends.

Room Tip: Book a deluxe room...the space is fantastic.

I chose this hotel because it is cheaper than other big hotels in Sanur and has large garden also near the beach because I need it for wedding shoot in the morning. I chose the deluxe, it has a large room with big bathroom. No bathub. They have shuttle to Hardys, nearest supermarket. The hotel is located a bit away, if you want strategic hotel, this isn't it. It is nice if you want calm and relax feeling.

Room Tip: Choose deluxe room because it is better in everything. It has garden setting and bigger room. It is...

I enjoyed the mercure from the moment i set foot through the door at 1am. I was upgraded to a better room than I had booked and it was so beautifully fitted out and spacious. Everything in the room worked really well, including aircon. fantastic shower. The whole place is very clean and the staff incredibly welcoming and warm. There is a choice of two fantastic pools and both of them have shaded parts for the sunburn-prone amongst us! The hotel's gardens are gorgeous to walk through and the food at the restaurant well-priced and delicious. you can't beat a buffet breakfast in that beautiful tropical beach setting. regular shuttle bus takes you anywhere in town. Felt very safe there alone too.I will be back with my family for sure.

Only stayed for one night but would happily have stayed longer.
Having read the reviews I was a little worried but our standard room was perfectly nice…good shower, aircon and bed.
The grounds of the hotel are lovely as are the two pools…..although I did notice that the larger pool did look a bit greasy probably due to all the suntan lotion. I wish people would shower before using the pool!

Didn’t eat at the hotel but did have a couple of Bacardi and cokes by the pool… nice but Very pricey!

Lots of nice restaurants within walking distance on the beach front path…. It’s a shame we stayed in Legian and not Sanur
