6 nights in October. Mixed feelings. Gardens are lovely, beach is pretty, nice to be away from the hectic hassle of traffic and hordes on the other side, Room 140 perfectly located by the restaurant / pool, friendly staff. Lovely massage at Spa. Friendly staff. 2nd stay at Mecure, Sanur and we were very happy for the low key, quiet start to the holiday. My daughter loved the Yoga in the fabulous Yoga centre next door. Had nice cheap meals in Sanur and along beach.

We certainly had no issues or specific problems, but it feels a little tired and in need of something! After Mecure we headed up the east coast and our next hotel by comparison felt far more magical and special in its remoteness and quiet..... Finally we headed to Seminyak and our villa for same price as Mecure while without the facilities of a bigger complex, was so fresh, spacious and funky.

Really enjoyed our stay a lot, but happy to explore other accommodation options next time.

We stayed 3 nights in 3 rooms. As we entered the rooms, we were welcomed by a bad smell. We checked in quite late. As we were about to settle in, the AC in our room started to leak. We called the front desk and were told they were sending someone to fix it. We waited for almost an hour and after several phone calls until eventually someone turned up. In the meantime we had to put the rubbish bin to contain the water leak.

The worst experience was at Pandawa Restaurant. We arranged a birthday lunch for our son for 20 people on Sunday. First we were told that they couldn't serve us at 11:30 am because the staff were having a rest. I've never heard of a hotel restaurant close especially during the day.
As the guests arrived, we asked the waiter if we could put the birthday cake in their cooler for a little while while we have our lunch. We were told that they are going to charge us for putting our cake in their cooler. Everyone at the table had a jaw-dropping moment. I asked if they could ask the manager and re-consider since we are staying in 3 rooms for 3 nights plus we are having lunch for 20 pax in a very quiet Sunday afternoon. The waiter came back and said no, we have to pay for putting our cake in their cooler. Very disappointing.

And there was more .... we were given coupons to get pool towels. We misplaced the coupons and were told that we couldn't get our towels. The attendant told us to walk all the way to the front desk to get the coupons. Wouldn't it be possible for them to call the reception to verify that we're hotel guests?

All in all, it is obvious that Mercure Sanur is making it difficult for the customers to have a pleasant stay. Not to mention, we tried to make the lunch arrangement about 3 weeks beforehand and the response from the sales people were very slow and unhelpful. It looks like that customers are not in their list of priorities. It's a shame to have this experience especially from an Accor group of hotels. We were very disappointed and the 20 guests who came to the lunch who happened to be all locals (Bali residents) will no doubt share this experience with others.

The garden setting is lovely and the large pool area great however we were upgraded and yet our room felt "tired" and in need of a paint and some thorough cleaning of the shower area. We've stayed at 3 other resorts in the area on the beachfront of similar pricing and all have included breakfast in the tariff, and have seemed friendlier and more attentive.We thought we would see what the Mercure was like. A number of families were in our group and we were spread across the resort and not placed anywhere near each other. None of us will return as the result of our experience on our final day when we had 4 breakfast chits but were told they could not all be used on the one day and we could only use one chit and pay US$30 for the 3 remaining members of the family......As a result would not recommend........

We have been staying at the Mercure Resort in Sanur every time we visit Bali since we first came in 2005. Having just returned from another fabulous week at the resort has convinced our family that we would never go anywhere else. The rooms are comfortable and the verandahs invite lazy afternoons with a cool drink and a book. The pools are always sparkling and the attention of the staff could not be faulted.
Mercure Sanur prides itself on bringing a "family" atmosphere to holidays and certainly our children have loved going there and feel very much at home the minute we walk up those lovely steps.
This is the perfect spot for a holiday without the Bali hustle and bustle but with beautiful beaches and lovely food. Just perfect for us.

We stayed 3 nights really enjoyed the location right on the beach. Breakfast was good and although they were renovating breakfast area and Bar the service was good. We had a number of family and friends staying at this resort and all enjoyed their stay.

Excellent friendly service from all staff. Prompt assistance when required. Beautiful spacious resort & restaurant, though we would have preferred a non-smoking dining area. Smokers spoil the dining experience for everyone else and in our country smoking is not allowed where food is served
