“Fine dining in Sanur”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2013

Kayu Manis is deservedly the nr 1 restaurant in Sanur. Off the main road in quiet spot, the deco is quite minimalist, the food is well presented, colourful and full of taste. The menu is well thought with interesting combinations of both balinese and international cuisine, service very good and not even the most expensive dinner we had in the area. A definite stop for dinner in Sanur.

Had a lovely meal here can see why it's number one. Excellent service fresh tasty food and good value and selection of reasonably priced wine which is often hard to find in Bali

“Little gem in Sanur”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013 via mobile

As a chef and gourmet traveller,I recently discovered this gem of an establishment in the heart of Sanur. From the moment you step inside, you notice the cleanliness of this place and a warm greeting from a professional kitchen brigade. The service was faultless and extremely friendly staff. The food is well presented and of very high standard with reasonable prices. A little hard to find, only because it's on a side street, but do yourself a favour and go there. You will be pleasantly surprised.

“Meh”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2013

Experience started poorly as we hadn't made a booking. We were early around 5:45 and there were many empty tables. The waitress made us feel like it was a bit of a bother but did seat us.
Menus arrived quickly but getting our order was quite a wait. It was still not busy. I could partially see the specials board they carry around but it didn't come near us and so we eventually ordered from the standard menu.
A amaze bushe (stuffed baby mushroom) and some bread arrived complimentary and then meals. Carbonara for him and a stuffed chicken breast on mash with a rum raisin sauce. The pasta sauce was very rich and thick. The chicken while tasty was a bit dry. The serves were sufficient in size.
at $22 for dinner just 2 mains a lge bintang and 2x sprites was just ok. Wouldn't rush back
