“Great Breakfast Spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

After a walk we decided on Star Cafe for breakfast. Fantastic how even at breakfast they give you cold towels. Well Sanur was so deserted it seemed everyone had left to make it home for Xmas. You look in some of the stores and restaurants and they are deserted. Today we got real hash browns this is the last bad food day as we are back onto the healthy diet as soon as we get home. Fried eggs , 2 sausages, one slice of toast and 3 slices of bacon plus mushrooms all yummy. Our daughter had the plain pancakes with honey. Big fat ones too.

“Good hearty fare”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

Called in for dinner late one nite after a big day out.
Has quite an extensive menu with local and international dishes with a large beverage list as well.
Staff greeted us promptly to a fan cooled table , where we were given a complimentary chicken tapas entree straight up which was a nice touch.
We tried burgers and the chicken salad - burgers were very tasty served with a large serve of fries and the chicken salad was huge with large chunks of chicken mixed in with fresh greens.
Tried the banana split for dessert which I had to get help with...delicious.
Would definitely recommend this resto and look forward to trying the breakfast on my return visit.

Could not eat it . Paid for un eat plates of food. The waitress did not say a word this must be a normal thing at this place where people order food and can't eat it. Poor poor service

“Always great!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

We have been eating at The Star for many years and have NEVER been disappointed. Breakfasts are large and well cooked . Lunches have a large variety of salads, wraps, burgers plus lots more and the fruit shakes are always cold and fresh. Dinner is equally as good - my husband LOVES the Sunday roast. The menu does have a varied menu which suits us as my husband likes his meat veg and potato type food. In saying that there are Indo dishes as well. We can not fault the service. The girls are polite friendly and very efficient. Winnie the owner is always happy to help with any local info you may need. Internet perfect ! The coffee is really good and hot. Try the spring rolls they are so fresh !! Will be there for dinner 29th May !!!!
