“Quality service, peaceful surrounds.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

My wife, six month old daughter and I stayed at Rama Beach for 7 days recently during what was my first trip to Bali. The bottom line? I would stay there again.

Staff friendliness and quality of service were excellent. We couldn't have expected better from all those we interacted with. It must be said that Indonesians LOVE babies, so having a 6 month old with us probably made a fair difference however I still believe the people at Rama Beach are a quality group of people.

As far as facilities go, we had a deluxe suite which was quite nice. There were a couple of small things I didn't quite like (air-conditioner had a small vibration in it sometimes & there was a hair in the bed when we arrived) but overall, it was quite good. One recommendation is to get a room on the lower level as it will stay cool even when the air-conditioner is off when you are out of your room. Also, if you have a child in a pram, there are no ramps at the hotel so you will end up lifting the pram a lot.

Overall, I give the hotel 7/10.

We arrived here last week of August 2013 and booked for 7 nights. Suite 118 is facing seaside and has a wonderfull view. It is an enormous room and has large balcony. Don't expect 4star luxury but it's absolutely clean and comfortable. The clean beach (with black vulvanic sand), the safe swimming, the coral reef and the dolphins make it easy to relax and to enjoy the friendly atmosphere of the North of Bali. And when you want to cool down without the salty seawater, there is a very nice pool surrounded by a beautiful garden.
The best however is the Staff. Lovely girls at the reception, the staff in the restaurant, the Kitchenstaff (preparing the best steaks in Bali), the room staff, a and security and drivers ..... I hope I didn't forget to mention anyone. They really make you feel welcome).
Enjoy the free massage and you will book your next massage for sure!
I already mentioned the restaurant at the beach serving fantastic steaks but also cordon blue, fresh salads, Indonesian specialities, tasty seafood and cold Bintang Beer. The place to be to enjoy sunset.

What to do when you're there? Ask the lovely Srie at the reception for trips and drive around with driver Komang. The Buddhatempel, the Banjar Hotsprings, the many interesting Balinees Tempel, the vulcanic lakes, the fantastic surroundings and waterfalls at Sambangan (ask for guide Doglass Putu and let him show you how to jump from waterfalls), do the Dolphintrip early in the morning, go for a dance to Kantin21 with live music, snorkeling at the reef or at Menjangan. So there is no reason to get bored!

Very nice is the Balinese night once a week with live music performed by the hotel staff (Appel, Gede, Komang, Mikki, Yesa Jasmint, Dewi, Komang Suraya, and all others) and the beautiful dancing together with the special meal (or a la carte if you prefer)

BUT ABSOLYTLY THE VERY BEST HERE IS THE BANANA-Shake by Yesa Jasmint (when he has bananas hahahahahahahaha)

I checked in a family room which is facing the beach which is nice as from the room itself, you can have a good view of the beach. Room is spacious with 1 double and 2 single beds. There is no air condition for the double bed folks as the air condition is located somewhere near the single beds and separated by a wall. So it can get hot and warm sometimes. Room is pretty clean on the surface but not under the beds. Noticeable dirt are present. A not so nice experience was on the water supply in my room. It is salty and there are some "stickiness" feeling once used the basin or shower.

Not many activities around the hotel, so make sure you bring your own entertainment to keep yourself occupied. I was informed by the front desk personnel, the nearest attraction is 20 minutes walk away. Unless you have your own transport, I will not recommend you to walk as it can be a long walk away especially at night which can be quite dangerous.

Room Tip: Request for rooms facing beach

We have stayed at Adirama before as a couple and with children and it has always been perfect. This time we were with 8 friends. The rooms are comfortable, the food in the restaurant is delicious and the staff are fantastic - they will do anything to make your stay a happy one. Many of the staff have been there the full 10 years since the hotel was taken over by Ruud. Each time we stay there are some improvements. We all enjoyed the special Balinese dancing and menu put on by the staff one night.

Room Tip: All ground floor rooms are doubles apart from family rooms. Twin rooms are upstairs.

Excellent hotel right at the north-coast of Bali. We stayed in sea-view suite 117 which has an amazing balcony with perfect views on the sea. The hotel is beautifully landscaped, has a nice but rather small pool, and a lovely restaurant serving the best Indonesian dishes. he hotel also organizes Balinese dances. The sunset from the balcony is spectacular.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Wished we had stayed more nights here, and when we return to Bali, for sure we will select this hotel.

Room Tip: If possible choose a sea-view room.

For a Budget family friendly hotel this is one of the best. The staff are Great! don't miss out on one of Mickeys reflexology massages it is fantastic! Resturant staff are excellent, & the view was only the sea!! room was large superior, with end balcony excellent WifFi & safe in room. Pool was small but certainly clean. You can catch Beamo's just outside Hotel or order taxi. we stayed 6 nights fully recommend but remember you get what you pay for don't expect the Ritz. The photo's are pretty much true of this hotel. Thanks Guys will definately stay again just wish you might add a DVD player as TV was Indo or Dutch. Fan was noisy & aircon over door, so bed on far side of room is cooler.

Room Tip: rooms on the west side dont get the hot afternoon sun, we liked our 1st floor room 106 wouldnt want...

We were not so sure about the quality of the hotel before we booked, We we were in fro a surprise. They gave us upgrade and discounted offers and was wonderful experience staying in the Rama Beach Resort, Bali. The three days we stayed was very relaxing the staff was friendly and the chalets were great and with good beds with good linen Will recommend for anyone to spend a good holiday. It was what we needed after crossing the Atlantic from USA.

Room Tip: Ask for the chalets as they give a lot of privacy and they are very comfortable
