“Absolutely Wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

Stayed for 14 nights October/November 2012.
Staff were wonderful right from the moment we checked in.
Nothing is too much trouble and they are always very friendly and helpful.
We stayed in an upstairs Deluxe room and each morning by the time we had returned from breakfast, housekeeping had been through and our room was made up and bathroom cleaned.
Staff in restaurant very attentive at breakfast time and loved to chat and ask about your stay.
Because this is a smaller resort, there was no difficulty in finding a pool chair to lounge on and pool staff only too happy to move chairs to grass area under trees if required.
Ladies in Day Spa very professional and treatments devine. The hardest decision is which treatment to choose each day!
Great quiet place to base yourself for day trips (highly recommend Mike Bali - find him on Facebook or mikebali.com - excellent service.)
Lots of restaurant choices in street or restaurant here open 24 hours.
Pool bar great place to meet other guests and get local tips as so many people keep coming back here.
Have had such a fantastic time at this hidden gem - will be back in May.

Room Tip: An upstairs Deluxe room gets a treetop view and a bit of a breeze.

I can easily recommend this hotel, located in a garden with very lush vegetation.
The rooms were fine and so were the staff – always helpful and efficient. In terms of food, the breakfast was quite monotonous.
On the upside, the SPA is great and fairly cheap, so you can really pamper yourself.
Beware of low tide seasons – the sea gets so shallow that all you can do is wade. But if you’re a fan of water sports there is a nearby water sports centre to indulge yourself.

We stayed here at the start of september 2012 at the end of our honeymoon for 3 nights. We had oringally stayed in a villa in seminyak and the elephant safari lodge in ubud that were fantastic however more then double the price of villa bintang. However you could definatly tell for the money.

We didnt have hot water for starters and had to call the reception 2-3 times to get it fixed. not only that then our air conditioning was leaking everywhere.

the first morning at breakast there was no bacon.. we didnt know any different as it was out first morning but was completely suprised at that and the food was extrememly average.

The staff at the bar and restraunt were lovely and helpful. ALthough the gentleman at checkout couldnt process a visa card payment and asked me how to do it.

We had a great stay at the resort. The rooms are a little dated but they are putting in new TV's etc. Some of the rooms are fully renovated and look nicer.
Staff were fantastic, pool area exceptional. Beach area is great to relax and watch the water sports around you. Beach for swimming is not so good.
We looked around the area at resorts and we could not find a better one than this. Some are huge and you have to walk a long way to pool, beach etc. Villa Bintang is nice and small and friendly. Great restaurants close, The Tree, Sports Bar all close.
Only negative will be for some people is the smallish breakfast on offer. Plenty for us and you can ask for anything you want.
Graet resort, price, location, staff.

Room Tip: Ask for a renovated room, we liked the down stairs rooms but upstairs have a nice balcony.

We arrived at the Denpasar airport super late (2am) after a long flight. The cab fare to the hotel was about $10CAD.
The staff was welcoming and helped us get our luggage to our room. Our room was HUGE, clean but a little dated. The shower wasn't great (weak) and could have been cleaner. We had a nice little patio located right next to the pool. Our room rate included a nice breakfast.
Location was fantastic, right on the beach. We went for long walks almost everyday. There were lots of people trying to sell us junk! Lots of fun activities (parasailing, jet skiing) too! The free wifi was great and there was a beautiful orchid tree outside. We also enjoyed a nice couples massage.

My husband and I go back to this hotel every year. It is a small hotel which we like and we have got to know the staff, who are very friendly. We have had no trouble on arrival. Yes the beach is not great for swimming but the hotel has a great big pool and it is quiet, away from the hussle and bussle of Kuta. We visit Kuta for the surf and shopping. Costs about $A10. Breakfasts are great. The restaurants out of the hotel are good value. Suggestions Tao, Green Leaf, La Scala and Cardamon.
