Description: The Cafe offerings are designed to suit the most discerning guests. Each station is dedicated to preparing authentic cuisines from selected regions, ranging from fresh sashimi, oysters, and sushi rolls in the Japanese corner, Chinese barbequed ducks and pork, tasty tom yum goong and Thai salads at the Southeast Asian station, exotic butter chicken and naan from the Indian section, to a la minute pastas at the Western corner. The dessert section is abundant with chocolate fondues, homemade ice cream and sorbets, heavenly cakes and mousse. Aesthetical use of scale, screening and materials are combined to create an impressive yet approachable restaurant that welcomes guests to an intimate and relaxed resort environment. A place where guests may enjoy delectable meals in the restaurant and outdoor area looking over the lush landscape with large swimming pool and Indian Ocean views.

“It's a smoothly run factory!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014 via mobile

For a breakfast buffet, this is impressive! Lots of staff to look the many hungry guests swarming in the biggest selection I've seen. From Chinese, including made to order noodle stand, made to order pancakes & waffles, Indonesian & Indian, oh the cakes! Amazing Japanese selection including freshly cut sushi. Large fruit selection & yummy omelette made to order. They could possibly be an el carte option.

Putting aside the hustle & bustle of hungry, excited people, the restaurant is beautifully styled with high ceilings.

Staff are friendly & always available to assist.

What will I have this morning? So much to choose from!

“Not that impressed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

I see everyone's rave reviews, and this buffet did not live up to my expectations. Staff are so attentive that I felt watched and uncomfortable. The dining wasn't explained so we kind of just stumbled or way through. Power went out and we sat in the dark. No options of desert for those with dairy intolerance, unless you want the skewered fruit meant for the chocolate fountain. Waiter was pushy with the wine list. Probably wouldn't return and would choose to spend my money elsewhere.

Dear TarynW88,

Thank you for dining at The Cafe and for taking the time to share your review, as well as detailed experience.

Our team are trained to assist guests with every need and whilst our team does offer a food tour around The Cafe, many guests have opted to discover on their own but our service and introduction of the restaurant remains available upon request.

In regards to the power outage, unfortunately that was the sea powerline that was cut off and resulted in a blackout for Bali, but our generators were automatically switch back on within moments.

We will certainly share your kind review with our team as well and we look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.

Do try Table8, our latest restaurant, featuring Cantonese and Szechuan cuisine.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Thank you,

“"Six" star buffet ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2014

Went for a sunday brunch at the mulia and at the end it felt like I had dinner at the same time. The food was endless, there was no food I did not want to sample. From the fresh sashimi of the Japanese section to the mouth watering Korean barbeque section. The fresh pasta section was surprisingly quiet for its quality, but i wasn't complaining. It meant i had no queue when i wished for seconds.
The dessert section was one of the highlights of the buffet, the creme brulee and chocolate fondue were to die for.

Foods were constantly refilled, there were no stations left empty. For the price, you definitely get what you pay for. A six star culinary experience that will linger on your palette for days to come.

The only criticism I would have is I felt like we were being watched by the waiters, scrutinized if you may. Maybe its because we were locals and they did not expect us to be able to pay for it. Maybe its just great service. It was annoying none the less. Maybe they could give customers a little more space. A little blip to what was an excellent lunch. It is a little high on the price range we are used to in Bali. But if you are willing to ever look the price factor, you will have a culinary experience you will never forget.

“Great if you're Asian!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

Only had breakfast buffet. Beautifully decorated room but very few outside tables on the ocean/pool side. Plenty of choices for Asian diners or those who can eat curry or raw fish for breakfast! European choices were the same each day with sausages (not great), completely dry over crisped bacon, omelette/egg station, hash browns, and some sautéed veg, same mueslis, yoghurts and fruits. Stations were also very spread out and room was full of small kids so we sat outside each day.
