“Definetly will come back again ..”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013

first, we were hesitated to stay at Mulia hotel, because some of the review said the service is suck, etc. But then we still booked and choose to stay with Mulia Resort Bali.
The receptionist were so helpful, we want to upgrade our room, but we would like to check our reserved room first. They said no problem, they helped us check in to our original reserved room. Actually we booked for Mulia Grandeur room, when we arrive at our room we decided to upgrade it, the difference between Mulia Grandeur room and Mulia Signature room was the view. The grandeur room balcony facing garden / road. while the signature room balcony facing pool and partial beach. So we decided to upgrade, they were extremely helpful pick up our luggage (again) , then sent to our new room. The receptionist said we don't need to come back to the reception area, they will come to our room give us the new key room and settle the payment.
The pool were extremely large I love Ocean pool, the beach is so clean , even I'm swimming with tiny jelly fish and some tiny fish.
They give us 2 free welcome drink for each of us, to be redeemed on sky bar and CJ bar. The staff always greet us , I would definitely come back again to The Mulia Bali.
ps : the breakfast offers us many options from japanese, western, asian, chinese and indian food arrays

The resort is new and facilities first class
The service from the staff is caring and attentive
The pools and food are amazing
The resort is spacious
The rooms are large with all amenities included
The spa is terrific with a very skillful and relaxing massage
The shopping arcade and some additional restaurants are yet to open which will add further to the resort
The only item that could be improved is the wi fi which cannot be accessed from all public areas eg the ocean pool

Room Tip: Ocean court room is spacious and comfortable we stayed on level 7 bigger floors are good

Ensure you and your kids are in safe area while you are staying at hotel since there are many unsafe issues like slippery wet floors in public area and no protective balustrade around water features or open bar. If something happens, hotel reminds that they are not liable for any damages or losses of yours...

The first thing that strikes you as soon as you enter the premises is the vastness of the place. With 110 villas and a number of suites in that location one gets lost. It is indeed a beautiful place with a number of waterbodies and 3 swimming pools. The only downside is that there are no changing rooms next to the swimming pool. The resort rooms are big, well appointed and well designed. Service is good and staff extremely courteous. Will definitely come again.

We stayed with family in standard room, royal suite and a villa. The rooms itself are nice, but the view is not what you expect - the standard room have a view on a scooter carpark (rooms 1520-30) and the royal suite (contrary to website) has view only when you go on balcony and lean to side (2542). Worse, over 3 of the 4 days the hot water didn't work (either only air or disgusting brown water came through pipes). Also, the hotel is not adequately equipped to deal with rain, it's impossible to go to the breakfast area without passing over various slippery spots. queues - are long, you have to wait to get a table at the breakfast area (up to 20min wait) and an even longer at reception. Service - most requests, porter, reception, waiter, take considerable time - they try but they don't give you the service level of other 5*. Prices - every add on, business center, rental for equipment (eg USD 15 per hour for snorkeling equipment) is very steep and higher then where we used comparable services at Ayana. atmosphere - the building gives you the feeling of Shining - larger building with no life (even on Sat evening the only nightclub on site was so empty that the waiters started to dance themselves).

So in all, while the building is beautiful, don't waste your money to come here - unless you like sitting in a bath tube after a rainy day in you USD 260 room overlooking scooters and listening to sound of air coming through your warm water pipe.

We informed the staff about all of the above - for none of these an apology was extended (let alone offer to switch room to one with running water).

Stayed at this hotel for two nights at one of the wing which have a slanted view of the ocean but noisy construction nearby it's room due to some refurbishment work of an existing Balinese building within the hotel smacked on its premise...
The rooms although nice lacks functionality.
1)The work desk does not even have a decent power plug to hook up your laptop making it very friendly for users.
2) Very surprised that for a new hotel running in its programme, only 2 devices are allowed ... Not a very friendly way to retain loyal customers.. Makes it very distasteful to the discerning customers who pays top dollars to use the hotel
3)The toilet requires people with Herculean biceps to use it as the doors are heavy and almost impossible to open on daylight let alone people using the toilet in the night.
4)Except for Endoghin Japanese restaurant which features a wonderful buffet with quality and fresh seafood and meats the cafe are hopeless and you need to pay even for ice water ...
With the rates currently advertised, I would recommend many others in Nusa Dua for better value for $$$$$
