I live in Indonesia and I have travelled to Bali 20 times or more.
We know most hotels in Nusa Dua and surely, the Laguna is one of the better hotels there. The service is friendly and our overall experience was good. Our first room was unfortunately without any sun which made it so humid that everything became sticky and even the pages in our books started to crumble. After complaining, we were given a room that was better. However, when we asked at the reception for options how to best get to Lombok by boat, we were given the worst possible advise. A hotel car brought us to the port and dropped us in front of a scam travel agent who overcharged us for the ferry trip, including a pick up in Lombok which we did not need because we had a hotel car picking us up.
We almost got robbed on the ferry that took 4 hours to Lombok. On the way back we found out that there are many faster, cheaper and more convenient boat options available. We wonder why we were given such a bad advise at the hotel and then the hotel car dropped us at a scam travel agency at the port. When we asked if the driver was sure that this was the only place to buy a ferry ticket, he replied with "yes"

We have visited Bali on several occasions and stayed and visited other De Luxe Hotels in different parts of the Island over the years however, we continue to want to return to The Laguna Resort and Spa at Nusa Dua. Nusa Dua is an immaculate security conscious area at the south of the Island where one feels 'safe', protected and peaceful. The Laguna is simply beautiful. Its grounds and Hotel facilities are perfectly maintained and presented and for the extensive friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble. With a highly professional management team headed by a hands-on General Manager whose regular presence creates a feeling of extra care, this Hotel offers a Bali experience to remember whether it be for business or pleasure. We have no reservations in recommending the Laguna to anyone wanting a very special, pampered and beautiful stay in Bali.

Located on a quiet beautiful tranquil beach.,watch the sunset ,while having a drink ,the staff courteous,kind always smiling ,and polite.,they are great with children , and my grand daughter aged 3 yrs cried when we left. The accomodation great, well laid out .The GM -Mr David Cuddon-his assistant and staff made our stay just memorable.We are already planning our trip in 3 months

This was the last hotel we stayed at as part of our honeymoon, and the most luxurious. In terms of getting spoiled, hotel amenities & service, it was the best. Our room had lagoon view, was very spacious, & had amenities you would expect from a 5 star hotel. It was quiet around the hotel & clean. The butler service was great - they bring free coffee, tea & iced teas 24 hrs round the clock, take care of things for you such as complimentary packing of your luggage prior to flight. The restaurant, reception & other staff are all helpful & friendly. The beach is nice, and the cabanas facing the beach & around the lagoons are great to lie down in & pass time. The pool & lagoons are great to explore & swim in & the beach is nice with crystal clear water. The hotel has great restaurants & with good vegetarian options. The hotel itself is beautiful & has a lot to see. While we had a few problems, they were all taken care of well. One of the restaurants doors did not close, so a bat was flying in & out, but they gave us a free meal. Once, a small piece of plastic was in our food, & they more than made up for that as well.
