We stayed here for 8 nights, checking out on the 13th of June.
The stay was amazing! I am a manager at a hotel and let me tell you I wish I had their staff! They are officiant, quick and friendly! It didn't matter on who it was, if it was a pool boy, receptionist or housekeeping they would alway greet you with good morning/ afternoon or evening. They were always willing to help!
We had a Lagoon Access Room and it was amazing! We were tucked away in a room and it felt like we had out only little part of the resort, most importantly pool! Our only complaint of the resort is we booked a room with a King bed and it was 2 singles pushed together…. not even beds that could be zipped… it was very disappointing but we did not mention this to anyone so we only have ourselves to blame.
The food and cocktails are amazing! yes they are Australian prices but if you don't want to pay those prices you are a 5 minuet walk to Bali Collection and they are more the Bali prices you expect.
We got a taxi in to Kuta 3 times and all you have to do is ask the staff at the entrance of the hotel and they will organise you one for $16US in to Kuta, it was very reasonable. If you want you could also bargain with them outside the resort but the price is only about $1 difference.
We were so satisfied and will easily come back.

The Laguna is your typical high-end big box resort. The common areas are absolutely stunning and service is polished and always comes with a smile. The hotel is situated quite a ways away from the main tourist zone of Seminyak and Kuta (about an hour by taxi) but if you are looking to venture out for a meal, there are some decent options in Nusa Dua town.

In addition to the fact the rooms are a bit tired and drinks are extremely pricey (average $17), my other criticism was that the hotel allowed guests to hog prime sun loungers by putting down their books/towels really early in the morning. They claimed to police it but really did not, so we ended up having to lay on the ground one day. Not cool! It's also worth noting that, even though we booked our hotel directly through spg, we realized upon checkin that breakfast was not included, even though it was included through every other major travel site... A bit of a sting considering our loyalty to the brand.

Overall a pleasant stay but not one that would yearn for a return.

What an amazing stay we had at Tha Laguna. Genuine friendliness and care from all staff since the very beginning. There was always a "good morning" around the corner, a friendly smile everywhere, from all areas we passed by: restaurants, pool lounges/bar, reception, Spa and Fitness Center. I would say that this is what is expected from hospitality service, but this hotel is far from the extra mile. Food is incredible good at all venues and the Spa it's just amazing. Everything was really good value for money. I would totally came back for any purposes!! If you're doing your check in please find Guest Relations Officer Dina, she will take care of your check in and will assist you for any kind of queries during your stay. When going to the Spa find Therapist Pony for a 150 min Spa treatment (from the head to the toes), you won't regret it!

Stayed at The Laguna for 5 nights on 8 June. This was my 6th stay at this hotel. The service is amazing and very personalised. Thank you to Leis (front desk) and Sukarno (Kul Kul) for always looking after my family and making us feel like we are at home.
We ate at Awana which was beautiful and also next door at The a Westin at Prego (amazing).
Our room was clean and had a beautiful room on the 4th floor overlooking the lagoon pool & the resort. The butler service is professional and was given great service by Dian.
We also ate outside the resort at Bumbu Bali and Pepenero @ Jimbaran.
Will be returning on my next visit to Bali !!!

The staff from front desk to gardener see you will politely smile and say hello. Neat and clean room, super comfortable bed ,a full bathroom products. The resort surrounded by the wood and pool ,so it feel so good.
The water is clear and very fine sand beaches and clean, very comfortable to relax and enjoy the sea breeze blowing . Breakfast is very rich, Arwana restaurant food is good. My third choice in Bali still is The Laguna.

Stayed in June 2014 for 3 nights. Booked a lagoon access room.

We were greeted by lots of smiling faces as we arrived at the resort. We were asked to be seated (instead of lining up to check-in) and given a welcome drink. The front desk rep (Lydia) was very charming and made arrangements to check us in. She was very patient and pleasant. We were then accompanied to our room by a butler who explained the room amenities, etc. He was also very nice. The room provided 2 double beds, complimentary slippers, safe, toiletries (including toothbrush and toothpaste), etc.

Our room was between 145-155. It's a bit far from the lobby but close to the beach and restaurants.

Room is immaculately cleaned every morning and turn down service is also provided. They provide 4-5 complimentary bottles of water and we can request more if needed.

Butler service is very prompt and all staff are very friendly and nice.

Highly recommend a lagoon access room which is very convenient. You can just jump in anytime.

Beach becomes busy in the afternoon. Better to be early to avail lounge chairs.

Buffet breakfast provides a lot of choices and is served from 7-11 a.m. We would just usually have a heavy breakfast/brunch and snack in the afternoon and a light dinner. They were also very nice and accommodating as we are not able to have breakfast on our last day due to a very early morning flight, they packed us some breakfast items and water to take with us.

Airport transfer from hotel to airport is US$22 (that's for the car and driver). We booked ours the night before we left.

Hotel is very clean and has very nice surroundings... very relaxing. I highly recommend this resort.

It's a great resort in the Bali collection! Really luxurious, especially given the relatively low price!

The lagoons are a lot of fun, especially the waterfalls! The beach isn't great especially when the water level is low during the evenings.. You can see a lot of sea weed - may be it's just during the time I visited.

The front desk was annoying with their upgrade policies. They increased their upgrade price after we agreed to a certain amount( This upgrade was to move from my garden view suite to a lagoon view room - I had a confirmed upgrade to a suite because of my SPG status before arrival)!

But then manager and other resort staff were all great! Nice stay overall!
