“Excellent swimming pool but poor hospitality”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2014 via mobile

Great hotel with awesome swimming pool, pity the welcoming receptionist is not really a balinese hospitality, look tired without smile, spoke bluntly, bellboy was rushing us to the room without any friendly welcome and again very unussual being in bali

We arrived at the hotel around 3 pm and despite of a little glitch, which were satisfactorily resolved by the management, we were able to get into our room in no time at all.
The hotel is truly magnificent. Big spacious and clean room. Everyone in the family loves the pool, it is large and beautiful. The island bar in the middle of the pool was a great convenience, we spent most times as a family there. Oh and while there you must try the Quesadilla, it was very good. Our younger daughter made the kids club her second room.
Huge selection of breakfast and during our 5 days with the hotel, there were never the same food served.
The private beach club was also excellent. And although it is at some distance from the main hotel, of which the hotel shuttle was ready at any moment to serve everyone to and from, we were offered the same level of services and had a great time there with the entire family. Just bring yourself, sun lotion, and a pair of sunglasses and everything else form towels to shower, food and drinks, will be waiting for you at the beach club.
Overall the hotel and its services was excellent. We feel that we made the right decision to spent the second half of our holiday times in Bali with the hotel. And we would happily recommend the hotel to any family wanting a great place to stay and do fun stuff together.

Opened in 2011 and already outdated

Nusa dua is to say the least for families, Russians and Chinese. Its not Bali - Nusa Dua is too isolated from the authentic experience of Bali that can be enjoyed elsewhere.

I expected more from a US backed hotel chain. Pool has too few sun-beds and most are taken by 8am with people simply leaving towels, books to reserve and then disappearing for a couple of hours.

Service is slow, but this is Bali.

Many kids here so good for families, but not for couples.

Check in slow and room was dirty - had to change

you will be awakened every morning by kids in the pool and people above you - poor insulation.

Also poor bar service is very poor - hotel could make a lot more money if they attended to people around the pool more.

Animation non existant

Gym ok - but when they say circuit sessions, trainer should turn up

This Courtyard is the nicest Courtyard I've ever stayed! It's a huge resort. It's only a category 4! The best part was that I was able to use my free vouchers :-)

We took a cab from the airport to the hotel. We went to the taxi kiosk outside the airport on the right and we pre-paid for the fare and they gave us a ticket that matched with the cab#. The hotel was about 10-15 minutes away. Nusa Dua is basically strip of nice higher end hotel. It's very nice and clean. We had to pass through the large security gate to get to the hotel. Check in was a little slow but we were given a welcome drink.

It was a bit of a walk to get to our room since there are atleast five buildings for this hotel. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the pool. It would have been better if we were on the main floor and we could walk up to the pool. But I really couldn't complain. The room was large and it was beautifully decorated and it was new and clean. The bathroom was also large and clean. Love the decor. The beds were great and even had a seating area as well as patio chairs on the balcony. WIFI was also strong here.

Breakfast buffet was great, so many selections. It could get pretty busy though. You could even have breakfast by the pool. We tried the spa at this hotel and it was amazing. So beautiful and peaceful and smells heavenly. They also offered free shuttles to the Bali Collection outdoor mall.

Would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Nusa Dua. Hope it remains a category 4. Can't wait to go back to Bali!!

We are coming to the end of a five night stay at this hotel (with two kids aged 9 & 12). The hotel is nice and as with all hotels in Nusa Dua, the grounds are lovely. The room was clean and the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

The hotel just seems to lack atmosphere. We are a family who like to relax around the pool but even for us it is a little too quiet. It is a fairly large hotel and we found that there are never enough sun beds and even at breakfast, (which goes for 4 hours) we had trouble finding a table to sit the four of us. The breakfast selection is great.

Outside the hotel to the left is a street with markets, restaurants and a small supermarket. All are slightly cheaper than Bali Collection. The hotel restaurant is very quiet at night and does not appear to offer any entertainment ie cultural dancers etc.

One major negative is the noise coming from other rooms, so if you are a light sleeper take ear plugs.

Overall I would rate this hotel as only average. Having stayed at the Novotel (next door) last year I would choose that over the Marriott.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool facing room.

I was staying for 2 nights and booked directly from their website. The lobby is impressive, the swimming pool is great, the kids will definitely love it, the room is fantastic, clean and modern.
I booked the deluxe room with pool view.
Moreover, if you travel with your family that consists of 2 adults and 2 kids below 17, you can choose the twin bed configuration. The bed is a queen-sized bed, so if you stay with your 2 kids under 17, I am sure one room will fit 2 adults and 2 kids.
Th breakfast is also superb. Many variety and good quality of food. Based on my experience, if you have kids no more than 12, get the hotel rate that includes the breakfast for 2 adults and 2 kids (12 and under).
This is the best hotel in terms of the property and the affordable price, except for those who look for the hotel with direct access to the beach. However they have private beach and provide the vehicle to go there.

Room Tip: pool view is better

We spent our last four days in Bali at the Courtyard. Nice clean hotel, but has appearance of maintenance issues for a two-year old hotel. Rooms were nice, spacious and clean, but very noisy. No carpeting on the floor, so any noise from other rooms magnifies to rooms all around. Was awakened every morning early by dragging furniture, crying kids and loud speaking guest running up and down the halls. Staff attentive and friendly. MoMo Cafe menu was decent and of good quality and an excellent buffet breakfast. Pool was very nice but needed a few more lounge chairs to accommodate the numbers. While the hotel was ok, we most likely will not return to Nusa Dua as we prefer the other areas of Sanur, Seminyak or Kuta for the "real" Bali experience. Nusa Dua is too isolated from the authentic experience of Bali that can be enjoyed elsewhere.

Room Tip: Rooms are noisy - ask for a quiet area if there is such a thing.
