I am not a Japanese food connoissieur but have have quite a bit of experience in eating this style of food in good restaurants. The experience was average, 1 of the waiteresses tried her best to help with advice and good service, others just handed dishes through the curtain expecting us to take them from her and put them on the table ourselves.!!
I know about tuna and the proper preperation required of it to make sashimi, the service had me on edge so i asked them to seer the tuna sashima prior to serving, when it came I had 1 bite and decided not to comit to swallowing. Perhaps it was ok, but i am used to eating tuna i have caught and this tasted and smelt really not right.
The other dishes would have been ok if we had been expected to pay 50% of the price tag.
I'd have to guess the manager either had been away for a few days or just did not give a damn.
In summary the food did not equate to the price.
