My parents have owned a couple of 2-bedroom timeshare weeks in this resort for some years, and my sister and I stayed with them this year (me for the first time).
I was impressed with the size of the 2-bedroom apartment, its cleanliness and the 'Western' aspects such as the very Western bathrooms (one for each bedroom). We had a long balcony with our apartment, plenty big enough for the four of us to lounge about on.
The only complaint I have about the apartment was a slightly musty/mouldy smell on the fabric-covered sofas. This is likely a result of people sitting on them in wet bathers (!), and is probably not noted by the cleaning staff. We reported this.
We spent most of our time by the pool, which is gorgeous, clean, and shaded by frangipani trees. There was lots of shade around the pool (open huts and umbrellas), so there was no need for sunscreen if you were in the shade.
We ate one night in our six nights in one of the resort's restaurants -- the Jacaranda. The meals were lovely and the ambience was good, but my beef rendang was not quite spicy enough for me and I had to ask for extra chilli (no doubt they are catering to a Western palate). We also had the breakfast buffet every morning at the restaurant by the pool. The fresh fruit juices (e.g. mixed banana, papaya, and mango) are to die for and only cost AU$2 each.
As I didn't pay for this stay, I can't comment on the value, but my parents reckon their timeshare investment has been excellent value.
As an aside, a new resort is being built by the same group on the other side of the peninsula -- the Peninsula Bay Resort. It's not finished yet, but a block of 1-bed and 2-bed apartments are ready as are two of the eventual three pools. We took the free shuttle to the Bay and checked out the display apartments -- they are very nice, classy, stylish and the 2-bed apartment is HUGE. Well worth considering if you want something brand new.
