“Needs updating”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2012

We have been members at PBR for 13 years and come to the resort every year.
The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful.
The 3 restaurants on site are all good and provide good food.
However as this is a time share resort it does not provide free breakfast and the breakfast buffet has got a little expensive over the years.
The furniture in the room we stayed in was a litle worn and there were a few stains in the paint work. The shower in the master bedroom ensuite was very poor with terrible water pressure. The toilet also did not flush well and whilst we reported these issues they did not get retified during our 2 week stay. The resort seem a little tired and needs more maintenance and updating.

I was here for my honeymoon. The staff here is very pleasant and helpful. The location is without a doubt excellent with a almost private beach to the resort.
Food here is great too with a beach side bar providing all the cocktail and drinks selection you might want.
Most of the guests / visitors were older than we expected and there were many families. Sanur beach and other adventure places as well as party areas are decently close by from this place.

Spent two weeks here and was there 2 years ago and booked again for 2013/2014 new year. Great staff, super grounds, facilities excellent. In area of restaurants and bars, but not teaming, long walks abound and stopping off points available.

Great break, really enjoyed, get away from it self contained hotel if that what you want and spring board for trips if required at good prices available
Getting older and rooms being updated but lease by owner running out, I believe, and efforts on their new property may slightly diminish the standard but so far enjoyable and good and thoroughly recommended.

Room Tip: Go higher as lower down very humid despite the A/C and also ensure that you get one of the refurbish...

We stayed at the PBR in Benoa it is in a wonderful spot and backs onto a beautiful clean beach. The front office staff were amongst the most friendly I have come across, always smiling and calling your name when they greeted you each morning. The rooms are so generous in size in fact the biggest and best equipped we have stayed at in Bali! The gardens are finely manicured and the lawns brushed every morning. if you don't want to be in kuta I would highly recommend you try this hotel ! It is a 25 min drive into kuta so for our main shopping needs we made the trek into town. The Bali collection is only 5 mins away but we found it to be very quiet - probably just that time of year, but there are lots of shops there although a bit expensive! The restaurants around the hotel were all very good, the 3 directly across the road eg the tree etc were great. The PBR is a timeshare hotel and so the majority are constant visitors at the hotel but if you're lucky enough to purchase accommodation which is often for sale by owners who don't want to use it that week you should snap it up-it is fabulous! the hotel chain also has a new resort across the road and 200metres in on the other side of the water called the peninsula bay resort it is being finished as we speak, the rooms are massive you could move in and live there quite easily it is to die for! So if you are out that way stop jn and have a look, you won't be disappointed the amenities are wonderful!

We have been to the Peninsula twice – enticed by a two week “special offer”. This resort seems to appeal to mature couples via time share programs but has rooms available to the public. On the two occasions we were allocated two very different rooms. The first was comfortable and clean and had a nice view from its balcony but entry was from a rear passageway which was dimly lit and on your way down to the pool or beach you had to pass through banks of aircon outlets. This time, we were allocated a ground floor room close to the pool. It was very large with a well lit large dining and lounge area and the huge bedroom which is a delight to be in.
Each time we have enjoyed the full breakfast which can be purchased in advance for a discount and we enjoy the poolside restaurant. The pool could be described as “rambling” as it has several connected sections with areas of shade provided by palms and frangipanis, with poolside service from the bar.
Benoa is quite a distance from the shopping and restaurant action of Kuta and Seminyak – but our driver Benson made short work of it, or taxis are cheap. If it’s a beach holiday with water sports you want, Benoa is excellent. There is a free shuttle to Bali Experience but other than the Sogo department store which is good for cheap, good quality sports wear/shoes, the rest is expensive and doesn’t offer anything different.
The Peninsula also has a more formal restaurant and there are plenty of western style restaurants on the street outside (we like Laguna Garden and Coco Bistro). We also found that cash exchange rates were better in Tanjung Benoa than most other areas.
The staff were helpful and our only complaint is the distance to serious shopping areas (although bargains can be found along the beach pathway).

Room Tip: Get a room on the ground level which faces the inside gardens of the resort (see pics).

We have had a time share at the Peninsula Beach for about twelve years,we have seen the improvements over the years, the change in the Resort is just amazing,it's just so nice and relaxing.
We spent another week there in October last year, awesome , the staff were great and the food is first class.
The units are really very well appointed and the balcony are large and comfortable.
I note that some people talk about the smell in the room, well it's Bali and if you close anything up there you get a smell of stale air.
All you need to do is open the place up and it's fine.
When we were there we were introduced to the Peninsula Bay Resort, still under construction but just awesome.
We were so impressed with it we traded in our one bedroom unit in the beach and bought a Two bedroom delux unit in the Bay, can't wait to go back later this year to see the progress.
I think the Bay Resort when finished will be just awesome.

Room Tip: All rooms are great ,we were on the top floor and the views were great from the balcony. As the res...

We like may couples after our marriage were unable to decide the destination we wanted to go for a vacation....although there were lot of cheap options but someone suggested Bali and the decision was a life changing experience. We were travelling for the first time abroad with a lot of inhibitions about travelling abroad.....but to our surprise Bali offered the most amazing and thrilling experience. The island has an extremely friendly crowd which never lets u feel out of home....the best part about the tourist culture is that no one troubles the tourist for "tips" or any sort of exchange for services provided other than the price mentioned. It being one of the pacific islands has a tropical climate with cool winds blowing in the evenings. The has lots to offer for an adventure seeker like under water activities, trekking etc....over all a life changing experience. The hotel has an extremely well trained staff for international hospitality with restaurants offering international cuisine esp the sea food.
