We had a very good Italian restaurant in Padang Padang called Tratoria. So we wanted to try again in Kuta. First u check the menu at the entrance. U open the menu and u see the chief's photo. He looks Italian by his name ( I suppose) and he explains that he loves coocking, he studded cooking in Italy and he loves French food, blablabla. The menu looks grate, seems a bit expensive but for the place I can understand.
I'm French and I have good taste and I love also good food. So we decide to eat there.
We order antipasti and I order a carrot and pumpkin soup. What a disappointment, the antipasti was very salty and doesn't taste at all Italian (I can tell because I had few trips in Italy).
And the soup? No taste! I do better at home.
So now my question is how an Italian chief who loves coocking can serve those dishes for around 300 000rp (drinks included).
So I feel like this place is a trap for tourist. I prefer to eat noodle soup for 45 000rp in a dirty place, it's taste better.
I don't recommend.
