“Very good location. Peaceful and quiet.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2012

Crazy, but fun, drive from the airport with all the mayhem and chaos on the roads. We squeezed down lanes barely wider than the car so we had no idea what to expect from the Yulia.

Location;
Really good. Off a main street about 4 mins walk from Legian and all the action. Also about 5 mins from the beach. Jalan Pantia (Beach street) has tons of shops, cafes, a few bars and restaurants. On the beach front road those who need home comforts have McD's, Starbucks (yuk), Hard Rock, etc. But why bother? Go experience the many lovely local restaurants/cafes/bars.

Arrival;
Very warm, welcoming and friendly. The girls on reception were lovely! There was some minor building by reception but this did not bother us at all. I was not sure about our room as those by reception I am sure can be noisy. We were offerd a room by the pool or to the rear. We choose the rear. A good choice!

Room;
It was actually a small and tasty bungalow. Absolutely no complaints at all. Recently refurbished, clean, great bathroom and a nice little seating area outside. Yes..very nice.

Food;
The cafe/restaurant serves very good food at reasonable prices. Clean with excellent service from friendly staff.

Amenities;
Very small but charming pool surrounded by greenery and stone works in the middle of the resort. A lovely place to chill or relax. (if no pesky kids around).

Overall;
We toroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the rear are refurbished and quieter.

The first response when I saw Yulia Beach Inn the condition is quite old. I'm little worried whether his room looks like the condition of the building exterior, But Yulia Beach Inn has been renovated their room and bathroom, the room is quite spacious, neatly arranged, clean and the bathroom was shocking conditions do not look old at all and is already available bathtub, shower and hairdryer. I booked a deluxe room which is the second most beautiful rooms in the Yulia Beach Inn after president suite. The service is not very impressive, and is tantamount to retreat 2 star hotel in bali, breakfast was very limited, we can only get one kind of food and one serving only, by paying about $ 35 / night (exclude peak season), Yulia Beach Inn is less cheap compared other hotels near kuta beach, the bonus for you is a little pool, it looks good at night and warm..

pro : good price, renovated room and bathroom, 5 minute walk from kuta beach, warm pool
cons : looks old, average services, limited breakfast

Stayed with my wife for 7 nights...Linen and towels very old , they advertise wifi but could not supply...so many weak excuses, the pool was dirty and unsatisfactory TV reception.I could tolerate this as we spent most of the holiday out of the room, but i was very unhappy with the "dont care" attitude of the so called Manager. A glass was accidently broken in the room...I was charged 50.000rp for the breakage even though my room rate was $83 per night. Staff great and good food in the restaurant , though I will never stay there again.

Room Tip: Super deluxe Rooms good, and staff great...beware of over charging

The hotel itself is within walking distance to the beach and is in a very central location. Compared to hotels of a similar quality I think the price is pretty expensive, but it does the job if you only want to stay a couple of nights. The shower was always too hot or too cold- it could never get to the right temperature! Staff are friendly enough, but it took them some persuading for them to help me arrange transport. There is also no safe in the room and they will not keep your valuables behind reception.
Stay here only if you want the ease of being right in the middle of Kuta.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2011

We stayed at this resort for 3 nights and it fell short of expectation in many ways.

Firstly, we had booked and paid for a deluxe room, but were only given a standard room as the receptionist had said that all deluxe rooms were full for the night. As we were tired, we took it and they promised they would do something about it tomorrow. However, the next day, they lied to us saying that the room they gave us was deluxe (I was sure it wasnt, half the size of friend's room, bad lighting, no bathtub, no additional sockets and rather old looking)

Since we were out of the room most of the time, we did not make too much of an issue about this.

Also, we had booked the room knowing that there was free wifi. However, the wifi was spoilt throughout our stay. Very slow in fixing issues but not really surprising as Bali is not that technologically advanced.

The only saving grace for this resort is the nice small pool and the cleaning staff who do a decent job at cleaning the place.

Overall, Not recommended.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a deluxe room! Do not let them rip you off! Standard room is not good.

This is a hotel with great staff and friendly service.The rooms are big,I have only stayed in a deluxe room as the standard rooms are small. The furniture is old but clean and the bath room big.
Full size shower. and bath.
No tea or coffee facitities though.
Breakfast is at hotel cafe but have to pay as it is not owned by hotel.
Pool is small and only one depth all over.Only one end you can stand .Bar does not operate.
It is so close to every thing and you can walk to beach in a few minutes and the supermarket too.
I would stay ther again, and have recommended friends to go there and they have enjoyed this local feel hotel.

Room Tip: Go for the deluxe rooms
