“Decent hotel , Great Bathroom”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013

We stayed here in Dec 2013 for 2 nights.
Rooms are average but the bathroom is exquisite and as big as the main room.
Breakfast spread is good with many options.
Only disadvantage is that its a little far away from Jalan Legian which is the main street in Kuta for shopping and nightlife. It takes 20 mins to get there from the hotel by Taxis which are pretty cheap in Bali.
Staff was helpful and courteous.

Doesn't deserve the four star rating. More like a 2 or 3 star resort. We checked in at about 3.30pm and was told by the front office GSA that we will need to wait for a moment as they need to check the condition of the room before we can proceed to our room. Hence we waited for quite sometime but still no room for us despite we saw a few guest who came later than us and got their rooms. After that we were told that we are given a complimentary upgrade to pool side view due to the high occupancy, so we thank the GSA and proceed to our room, but when we entered the room, we were shocked to see the room was with double bed instead of one king size bed. We then called the operator and expressed our concern over the bed. The operator rudely told us that the room was upgraded on complimentary and if we insist on the king bed, then they will have to downgrade us. The operator then requested us to go back down to the check in counter to collect the key card, which makes us even more angry, so we insisted that the key card should be sent to us instead. This is not the service standard that a 4 star resort should have. Yes, we understand that this was a complimentary upgrade, however we should be informed in advance that the upgraded room is with double bed instead of a king bed as they clearly know that we are travelling as a couple. After that is up to us whether to accept the upgrade or not. After all the hassle we finally went into our room, but to our surprise the room has no view at all. All the windows are sealed tight, which means there were no supply of fresh air. Also there was barely any sunshine as the decor outside the resort nearly blocked the whole window. Overall the resort's service was poor and not up to standard.

So I booked the hotel on agoda a week before we got there for about 47USD/ night. My mum was super sceptical about it and was expecting the worst when we were getting there. However she was so impressed by the hotel (and she's used to really nice hotels). We got upgraded to a pool view, however we had 2 single beds as we forgot to say we wanted a double. Beds were comfortable nonetheless. The rooms have a very nice design, though my mum did think at first that the room looked a little dark with the purple colours, but she got over that. Bathroom also has a very nice design, however the toilet roll holder doesn't function very well, and also the handle of the glass door that leads to the toilet is too big and had already made an indent in the wall as the door couldn't open fully. The hot water sometimes took a while, and the toilet sometimes didn't flush for a while.
Other than these small problems, everything else was great. Wifi worked well for me on my laptop and phone, not so much for my mum on her tablet.
Breakfast was amazing, we would go and stuff our faces every morning and would end up being full til dinner. They made different cooked foods everyday and we loved the asian section : day 1 nasi goreng, day 2 mie goreng, day 3 rice vermicelli, day 4 kwai teow. It changed every day! They also had pasta and stuff (Which was weird in my opinion, but i guess could be brunch), as well as an indonesian section with satay, rice cakes, prawn crackers and stuff. They had a lot of fruits, as well as your usual cereal, cold cuts, juices, toast. The other great thing about the breakfast was that they had stations where people would cook food for you right away. There was an egg station, a pancake station and a roti station and you could choose what you wanted with what toppings etc. There was also a dessert section with puddings, creme brulee, jelly, little cakes and stuff, those werent too great but I wasn't too fussed as it was breakfast after all.
The best part was the staff, they were so nice and so helpful. They were always so polite, friendly and kind. Absolutely loved them all and you could tell that they really tried their best at work.
Yes, the location is a little far, but honestly its only like 30k for a cab to kuta, not to mention they had free shuttle buses to kuta everyday at 10, 2 and 4. There was a mall across the street, but its very busy and hard to cross, so the guards at the hotel would have no problem helping people cross and stopping the traffic for us.
Pool was also lovely, water was very cool, nice design, was truly relaxing to just chill by the pool for a few days.
We also tried out the spa one day and got the 1.6 hour massage. It was 1 hour massage and 30 minutes scrub. The massage room was very nice and calming as they had music and nature sounds in the background. The only drawback was that they were blasting music by the pool and so we could hear all the avicii going on and found it hard to relax which was a shame.
Anyway I highly recommend this hotel! Although it is relatively inexpensive (on agoda) it really really exceeded expectations!!

Stayed 2 nights here and found it to be great value. I booked a poolside room but would have been happier with a room away from the pool as the Pool bar plays music quite loudly from midday until 9pm. The rooms are very nice, mirrors everywhere and a big bath...its really suited for couples. Location is not really pedestrian friendly and there is not much else within walking distance however taxi rides are cheap and there is plenty of facilities at the hotel to entertain for a few days

Upon arriving at this hotel we were absolutely stunned how gorgeous and modern the lobby, pool and rooms looked for the price we payed. It looks like a 5 star hotel and the price is great.

But...

* Too far from Kuta, everyday we wished we booked a place on Kartika Plaza or around it as we had to either walk 20 minutes in the heat or catch a taxi as somehow we always missed the one way shuttle that leaves 3 times a day. There is a shopping centre across the road though we didnt realise that till the last day

* The noise level was unbearable. we had the first room on the right on ground floor next to the pool and there were a lot of kids and families staying there. I heard apparently the rooms are soundproof but they definitely are not. We couldnt sleep at all during our stays and we had earplugs on!! we could hear yelling and laughing and kids stomping around on the wooden floors near the pool it was horiffic and extremely annoying.

* The staff were ok seemed friendly but didnt go above and beyond like some other hotels do. They did not seem to care about the guests comfort as one night there was 3 really drunk people in the pool at about 12,1am ( which im sure the pool was closed at the time no one else was around) and they were YELLING and laughing soooooo loud it was insane. It went on for about half an hour and none of the staff bothered to ask them to turn their volume down for the comfort of other guests. the lobby is right next to the pool so it was easily seen and heard. After we made a phone call to reception and they said they will talk to them still notihng happened for ages until we eventually fell asleep. Again we could hear all of this with earplugs on.

* Most dissapointing part was when we were leaving for the airport at checkout, I asked the guy to call a cab for us ( as they were happy to do this the whole stay) & the guy said my friend is going to the airport and he can take you for $150,000. I looked at him with shock as it should only be about $30,000 MYR and i told him that, then he kept bringing the price down. I couldnt believe that the hotel staff were trying to rip us off and barder with us. I was disgusted and left on a negative note.

Other than the above the hotel itself was incredible and gorgous. and pool was amazing especially with the pool bar and the staff in there were very nice.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the top floor as far back down the corridor as possible so you dont hear all the no...

This hotel looks like the hotels you would see in Vegas. Really cool set up with the purple theme. Staff too attentive and pool was great. They have a great shopping mall with cheap prices just across the road. And taxi to airport costs 150k really good.

Great hotel. Food was good, staff also very friendly. People that give this place bad reviews should get over it. For what you pay its a great place :) you will have to get a taxi everywhere but its a great place.
