We stayed at Kartika Plaza during the 1st week of November and had a fab time.
The good part : Fabulous location- you are right in the middle of the action, the restaurants, shopping area, beach all is right next to the hotel.
Next the rooms are spacious and well kept- we opted for a private garden view room on the ground floor and wd recommend the same as it gives you the privacy as well access to the beach right from ur room.
The breakfast spread was great with a large variety from Continental, Japanese to Indonesian.
The buffet dinners on the beach were a highlight with Balinese dance performances / live bands.
The staff was extremely courteous and helpful and ensured we had a pleasant stay.
The only problem we had during our stay was with the airconditioning in the room which was taken care off post us reporting the same to the staff.
All in all a very pleasant and enjoyable trip. Wd definitely come back again!

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights whilst attending a conference. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the food is good, the rooms are good, the pool is excellent!!

Only thing I would say is maybe the bathroom could do with renovation. I was staying in an Ocean View room on the 4th floor.

I am looking forward to going back to Bali and would have no hesitation to chose this hotel again.

Loved this place for a getaway - you have everything there- Kuta beach at your door, my partner surfs so enjoyed catching the boats out to the reef. The rooms were clean & spacious, the king size bed very comfy. Although there are 300 + rooms you don't feel like there is. Plenty of room around the pool to relax - pool bar was great. The Centro mall is just next door - food is cheaper there for lunch and you can walk either on the beach or on the street to find a great restaurant for dinner. We enjoyed the massages in the hut on the beach- and the staff are very friendly. Our intial booking was 5 nights and then we travelled to Nusa Lembogan where after 2 nights (not much surf) returned for our last 3 nights back at Kartika which we loved! Be warned - we had booked on the internet initially and on our return it took over 30 minutes to negotiate to within $10 of the original price we paid per night- so pre -book for the best price. It is expensive but you always get what you pay for! We would return here or recommend to anyone who wants a wonderful getaway in Bali - you wouldn't even know the noisy street is close and the security is good too. If you didn't want to - you could just enjoy the resort and never leave the property. (Also -not many hawkers out the front on the beach which we liked- and they even sweep the sand off the foot path each morning)
