We were a bit apprehensive at first due to alot of negative reviews on Tripadvisor. On arrival and all the way through to departure we weren't disappointed. My husband and I were travelling with our 2 1/2 year old daughter and booked a 2 bedroom apartment. The room was very nice on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool with all the amenities you would need. The water filter in the room was a bonus as we didn't have to go out and buy water everyday. They also provided bottled water in the bathroom to brush your teeth. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. They provide minibar, tea/coffee and microwave. As a suggestion it would be nice to have some cutlery if you did decide to eat in your room and glassware for drinks.
The air conditioning works very well as we didn't turn ours off for 9 days. There is one in the lounge room and 2 bedrooms.
The restaurant was good. Breakfast was adequate, however, after a 9 day stay we had had enough of the selections. They provide 2 juices, 2 cereals, bread, croissants and pastries, yoghurt, and a choice of about 6 hot dishes which change daily. They also have an egg station so can make any eggs you like. We also had a couple of dinners and a lunch their which was also nice, however, one night the whole restaurant was booked for a function and no mention was made of this and we had a very dark table right at the end of the pool. The lighting in the restaurant at night needs improvement as you can't read the menus or see what you're eating.
The pool is ok but very small so if are looking to just cool off at the end of a hot day it's perfect but if you want to sit and relax by the pool and tan then this hotel isn't for you. There are not any sun lounges are provided, you just put your towels at the side. There is a spa attached to the pool too.
The only negative to the hotel, and this is very minor, the water pressure isn't the best in the shower but this is the same as with most hotels I have stayed. It is never as good as home.
The beds were so comfortable and the range of tv channels were great, especially movies and kids channels for my daughter. The hotel provides a shuttle to Kuta Square everyday at 9.30, 2.30 and 5pm. It is very convenient as saves on taxis. The traffic is the only downside as it is very jammed and takes about 20 minutes to get to Kuta. If you do have to catch a taxi though it is very cheap and will cost you between 10,000 & 20,000 Rup ($1-$2 AUS) depending on traffic and the speed of your driver. The hotel security is very good and will help you get a taxi or help to cross the road as they are very busy. Just be sure to get the Bluebird Taxis only as they are the best and metered. The others just bargain a price before you get in and will no doubt end up costing you more.
The staff were above all the highlight of the hotel, always smiling and accommodating to your every need and always welcoming you everytime you walked through. They all made a fuss of my daughter and were able to provide a highchair which was good. They manager was very nice in offering us a complimentary shuttle to the airport when we checked out which was greatly appreciated.
I will not hesitate in recommending this hotel to others. It is very affordable and staff are great. Don't be put off by negative comments as we only had very minimal complaints which is no way affected the enjoyment of our stay.
High floor overlooking the pool on 5th floor.
