it is an acceptable accommodation with great location, acceptably clean although I smelled mold in the rooms.. could be better; towels and sheets are ok and clean but used a lot; gardens are cute.

I stayed here with a friend for several weeks in early 2006. The hotel had quite a few people who were staying long term and if you speak to them you can negotiate lower rates for a stay of a week or more.

From memory it was about $30 AUD a night - the rooms were clean and didn't have the musty smell a lot of hotels in the tropics have. The rooms were cleaned daily, there was cable TV and the air conditioning worked well.

The breakfast is limited - a juice and a pancake/omelette but it is filling and more than sufficient to start your day. The location is great, a walk to Kuta Beach, the shops and the nightlife. It is located on a Lane so it isn't too busy and it is quiet in the evening. Lots of different places to eat within walking distance.

Overall, great value for money, clean rooms, two pools, and it seems to be quite secure as people can only enter through the front reception area which is staffed most of the time.

I have been to Bali 31 time since 79 and have stayed at many hotels. Masa Inn would have to be one of the best in it's price range. With 2 pools, one at the front of the hotel and one at the back. The back pool has lots going on while the front pool is not to busy. The hotel has aircon, hot water, fridge and TV with cable. I have stayed at this hotel the last 3 times and it is in a good location 5min to the beach and in the hub of Kuta night life. The staff are fantastic, the rooms are clean and it is just a nice place to stay. For anyone that wants a good budget hotel Masa Inn is a very good option. It is one of the best if not the best in Poppies Lane 1. B/fast is included in the room rate, the Restaurant doesn't serve lunch or dinner . I am going back for 4 weeks this Xmas.
