“Beautiful villas, amazing service and great people!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2011

We stayed at Kayumanis Jimbaran in February this year and absolutely loved it. As they now started accommodating young children and babies we brought along our 4 months old daughter with us. Not only they provided everything we needed for the baby (including bath tub, cot, special pillows, food, boiled water etc..) but also they helped us as much as they could so that we could have a fab holiday. They even baby sat her while we were eating dinner.
We were at Jimbaram Puri Bali everyday- you can use their beach and pool and amenities as they have a special deal- and I must say I was so happy we stayed at Kayumanis instead of Puri Bali. The beach is only few minutes away and Kayumanis is so much personal than PuriBali. Everybody at Kayumanis- but everybody from the chef to the doorman- knew our names, what we had done for the day and greeted us with the biggest smile whenever they see us. The breakfast was amazing and was served at our villa everyday. We didn't have to move a finger the whole time, only thing that we had to do is to dial number 5 for the butler service.
For the money we spent i think this hotel is the best value not even mentioning all the complimantary gifts and services we got.
Quick note on Jimbaran, it is very windy and wavy during the wet season, maybe the sea is much better on the Nusa Dua side during Feb/Mar. It is an up&coming area and there are not much around the hotel but again you have a free shuttle service to Kuta and Nusa Dua if you want to visit other towns.

I came quite often to bali, and we never stay in the same hotel, and we keep on trying a new one.
First, I don't know about this hotel, I never really see some advertisement about this hotel, and I passed by one local magazine, and see a very catchy fashion advertisement, and it written there location at kayu manis jimbaran. so I told my husband, let's check this place out.

we book for 2 nights there. and yeah, we love it. we just feel quite disappointed with the restaurant as its quite small, and doesn't have much variety. but service is beyond expectation here.

room is spacious, pool is clean, looking for some frangipani falls from the tree and drop straight to the pool its soo refreshing, open air living room is fabulous. open air bath room is great. it's too bad they don't have a private beach, though its not really far, but the sun is quite hot in the afternoon time. every detail is perfect, the batik, the flower, the big trees.

I have no complain while I'm staying in this hotel. after today, I tried to compare every villa around bali. ayana still the best for their villa, but kayu manis is the second one. forget samaya, forget hyatt. this place is affordable and its beautiful.

Having previously stayed at Kayumanis Ubud and loved it, my husband and I thought that we would take our 16 month old daughter to Bali for a week at Kayumanis Jimbaran which has recently started to accept children as guests.

It was clear on arrival that although Kayumanis Jimbaran claims to be child friendly, little thought has been given to the making the architecture of the hotel safe for children or anyone who is pregnant. The reception area is a chic but unsafe entrance as you need to access it by climbing up a set of narrow stairs and crossing a pond. It was not well lit at night and the danger of slipping in the dark with no rails to hold onto was quite high especially if you did not have a good sense of balance.

It poured with rain every day we were in Bali and there was no where for us to wait at reception for a car or cab to pick us up with our daughter in the stroller without getting completely soaked in the rain as we could not make it up the stairs to reception with the stroller in the rain. As I am currently 5 months pregnant, I found this very difficult and we were soaked through every time we walked from our villa to reception with no cover if we wanted to go out. Perhaps Kayumanis Jimbaran should consider offering a covered golf buggy service to villa guests during the wet season.

Although the villa was beautiful, we felt let down by the patchy service we received compared to other five star resorts we have stayed at in Bali. There was no sense of anticipation by the staff of our needs and often we had to ask repeatedly for the same items to be delivered such as a kettle, laundry bags, newspapers and clean crockery as the kitchen was not well stocked.

We found punctuality to be a problem as our breakfast was half an hour late twice during our stay (including the morning of our departure) and our car pick up (including our pick up on arrival) was also late twice.

Given the price which Kayumanis Jimbaran is charging for its rooms and food, we did not consider this good value for money as basic services we would expect of a five star resort had not be adequately delivered. It is unlikely that we will make a return trip to Kayumanis Jimbaran in future as we were very disappointed by the patchy service during our holiday there.

I stayed at Kayumanis for a long weekend between business trips to Singapore. What a refreshing break from big chain hotels. Well-appointed and luxuriously large villa offers privacy and a truly relaxing environment. Staff is delightful and friendly, although a bit concerned that I might be lonely as they are used to couples staying there! The cooking class and in villa cooking services were fabulous. Recommend as a grea tplace to recharge your batteries.

My husband and I just returned from Bali. We stayed at the Kayumanis Jimbaran for a week and had such a wonderful time we cannot wait to return. Our villa was beautiful and the location 2 minutes from the beach was excellent. However the best thing about these villas is the staff, their attention to detail is impeccable. The entire operation is excellent. We took a cooking class with the head chef who is delightful. The warmth the genuine caring at the Kayumanis speaks volumes and I recommend the location 100%. We have both traveled extensively and I have never enjoyed a hotel more.

We've stayed for a week in Kayumanis Jimbaran. The estates on the resort are huge! You have a lot of privacy. Although the resort was 80% full, we had the feeling just the two of us were there. The staff is friendly and deliver a good service. Food is great. Compliments to the chef! You can have all your meals delivered in your private estate. The private pool is terrific. Kayumanis Jimbaran is at walking distance to the Jimbaran Beach. The have an agreement with a neighbor-hotel (Puri Bali). In this way it is possible to use their facilities. The beach is ok but not stunning.
As an alternative, you also can go to the Beach Club at Kayumanis Nusa Dua it is just a 20-minute drive away. This is great, same hospitality and kind staff. Gorgeous beds and seats on the beach and don't forget to order lunch. The food is super.

We had a wonderful time at Kayumanis! It is just like paradise... we are often talking about going back to Kayumanis one day. The service is just perfect, food as well. The only negative point is the shuttle service: the driver is allowed to bring you to Kuta or Nusa Dua but not 5 km more far away ( for 20 USD, which sounds like a joke)
The furnishing is very detailed and you can find odorous shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom. Different from the cheap ones you can find usually in hotels.
