A once in a life time experience, though would love to go again! It is expensive and exclusive and suited us perfectly. We were lucky and had what must be the best garden villa. The gardens and pool area is quite perfect as was everything else. Nothing was too much trouble and when a dentist was needed the whole procedure of travelling to the very smart medical centre and having the treatment was organised brilliantly and caused less hassle than it would have at home!
We loved Jimbaran and agree with all the comments others have made about the Jamahal.
All staff excellent especially the guys at the gate, Alit is exceptional.

Room Tip: Room 9 is lovely with access to the pool, we had 8 nights in it.

We arrived having spent a few days in Ubud and initially were disappointed by the enclosed and slightly dark aspect of our room and the layout of Jamahal. It's a place where you can not interact with any other guests if you so choose, with a narrow path between high hedges leading to the garden villas, the doors to the rooms set back from the path.
However, the rooms are large and spacious, the bed is extremely comfortable and you can generally find you have the pool all to yourself.
The beach club is really only a few minutes walk away and, although crossing the road unaided is possibly the riskiest thing you can do in Bali (hence the man with the flag during the day and the light sabre by night to help cut a swathe through the endless hordes of scooters and cars) it's lovely and indulgent to be shuttled there and back.
The spa is a real treat too - so calming and restful.
But the single best thing about Jamahal is the staff and the service. They really can't do enough for you and really really care. I'd go back tomorrow - but I'd choose a different room.

Room Tip: Garden villas are not a good choice - they don't have their own outside space and ours, Flamboya...

it always means a lot to us and our staff receiving genuine feedback's. we are especially pleased that you have valued our service quality as outstanding. and that even though you were not necessarily satisfied with the specific layout of your room you would return to jamahal.

all of our seven garden suite villas are located opposite from the main pool and all are very individual and different indeed not only in size and layout. some are offering open and closed bathrooms, some have large sundecks or are fully roof covered with an open outdoor living area, others are emphasizing a fully air-conditioned and closed indoor experience (very popular for guests who might prefer a "cooler place" in the tropics) which was the room type you were staying in. on our website you can find layout plans of each our suite villa and villa types.

we always strive to satisfy our guests in every aspect, whenever our occupancy allows it we are happy to following individual requests. in your case we were fully booked, for your next visit we assure to find a more suitable garden suite villa, perhaps with a open living space, jacuzzi or large sundeck, for you.

thank you for sharing your experience and we all are looking forward to welcoming you back soon!

The moment we arrived at Jamahal it was obvious that this resort was extraordinary. That impression lasts the entire time you are at Jamahal. My husband and I were thrilled with our week long stay and highly recommend this resort to other couples. Not only is the hotel and its location satisfying, but the staff is incredible! They are always cheerful and courteous. The food was another positive. Everything is fresh and organic and it shows. The location is yet another positive. On the short walk from the resort to the beach you walk right past the #1 restaurant in Bali (currently rated by TripAdvisor) Cuca. I recommend Cuca for a tapa style dinner featuring delicious cocktails and even better desserts. There are a lot of great options close to the resort. The only bad part about Jamahal is leaving. Enjoy!

Room Tip: Sandat 9 offered private and secluded access to the main pool.

We spent 3 week in Indonesia on July travelling around Java, Borneo and Bali. Last 9 days we stayed in Jamahal. And to be honest it´s like from fairy tale. Who´s looking for silent place full of hindu and private athmosphere, Jamahal is perfect! Clean, smelly villa, luxury swimming pool, flowers in the bath, and absolutely fantastic food. Team of Jamahal is totaly professional and they´re giving really perfect servis from morning call and breakfast to incredible dinner and preparing villa for the night. Private beach is outside the area but you can reach it by 3 minutes walk on silent street. Beach offers club and very comfortable sunbeds. Massage of whole body was fantastic. The architecture of the resort is modern Balinese style from quality wood and stone furnishings. Jamahal is the best where we´ve stayed. We travelled all around 30 countries around the world. Marketa and Pavel from Czech republic.

We choose the resort for our summer holiday from Booking.com site. Once we have arrived we were impressed about the beauty and the elegance of the location. We have rented a villa with swimming pool. After 2 days the manager propose us to move to their biggest villa with full size swimming pool for a minimum amount as difference. Was one of the best locations I've ever stay. Service was excellent, personal very friendly and the food amazing. I can recommend this location for people who are looking for relaxation. The ladies from the Spa were highly trained.

Room Tip: Look for the full size swimming pool villa called Frangipani

I have been back to this amazing resort for the 4th time in July 2013, and it seems to just get better each time!

The people are extremely friendly, and the service and spa is absolutely unbeatable!

I would go back on the spot ANYDAY!!!

Room Tip: It does not matter where you will be staying here, you will LOVE it!!

This was our first experience of bali and what a way to start. This place is beautiful.

The rooms, gardens pool are very well kept and clean. Even the basic room had a large bed, outdoor bathroom tub etc with a large mirror / make up area.

The complimentary lotions etc are of the best quality and as we suffer from mosquito bites the staff ensured the room was always mosquito free with incents.

The staff are world class. From security to cleaners they try and remember your names. The beach is a 5 minute walk which some think is a drag but its not biggy at all as once your there you have your own area where the staff take care of you especially the smiley older lady.

Dhita the director is outstanding. She is welcoming and wants to ensure her guests are happy as can be. She treated us to an upgrade on the last day to the pool villa. All is can I says wow! Huge pool, open plan decking and kitchen, soaking up the sun in privacy playing songs off of my iPod connected to the Yamaha sound system. The pond was full of koi and the lounge had a 32 inch led!

If you can afford it, even a basic room, go for it. Don't look anywhere else. I'm fussy at the best of times and use trip advisor to plan holidays so I owe it to you all to be honest.

They even changed the router as the wifi in our room was weak!

Tried to return but didn't hear back from the hotel :(
