“fun atmosphere, tasty food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014

Paper Planes, you've ruined me. I have been craving your Crackling Pork since I left! Must try this dish, also the roti was nice and the pricing is excellent. Outdoor seating and rustic/vintage decor. Really a fun place, wish we could've gone back at night as they have a string light canopy above the dining area. A little out of the way for some but definitely worth a visit.

“Outstanding food and service...I literally dreamed about this food the following night.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2014

If you are in Jimbaran do yourself a favour; jump in a cab and head to Paper Planes for dinner. Make it easier on your driver and write the address down from TripAdvisor. It worked for us.

The menu is limited but what they do cook is spectacular. The combination pork noodles was so tasty. The pork was cooked perfectly. The snow beer was a nice treat and the overall price for the two of us with two drinks was less than I paid for one lousy hotel dinner.

The title of this review is correct. it is insanely good value, with excellent, personal service. The meal was so good next night I had a dream that I ate the same exact same meal. Get out of the hotel and head to this lovely restaurant. You will not regret it.

“So so”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2014

With so many choices for food in taman griya, its not likely i will eat from here any time soon. Food was Just ok. They served me a 'snow beer' which was actually just a bottle of bintang which had been frozen and had no fizz or life left in it. Nice setting, and very friendly staff, although the place was empty.

“Absolutely delicious and inexpensive outdoor cafe!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2014

If you find this place you will be very happy you did! Tucked into a busy local neighborhood, Paper Planes packs a punch with delicious crafted Malaysian dishes at incredible prices! Start with a Bintang snow beer, which seemingly magically forms a beer 'snowball' when poured into your glass. On a balmy Bali evening, I couldn't sip on anything better! Don't miss the tender honey roasted pork with home-made egg noddles, or the fluffy, crunchy sweet roti for dessert. My mouth waters just thinking about it. To top it all off, the owner provides excellent service, and the atmosphere was charming, with hand-chalked signs, and distressed turquoise tables and chairs in a twinkling light-lit garden.

“Simple Delicious & Friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2014

My husband and I visited this small restaurant for dinner tonight and also discovered its delicious Malay/Chinese flavours. Carl, the front of house host, was super friendly and explained everything is home made from scratch, including the noodles! He and his friend, the owners, grew up on Malay food, so the flavours are authentic and yummy! We are so glad we experienced this delightful place to eat in Jimbaran!
