“Go with an open mind...”

We were taken to this restaurant by a friend who lives in Bali. He was talking this place up no end. Promises of an unbelievable meal made from entirely Balinese ingredients piqued our interest.
Walking onto the gorgeous grounds you are struck by how simple the design is. The main restaurant in the middle with an outdoor bar on one end. You can watch your meal being prepared in the open kitchen if you wish at the other end. The interior tables are segregated by whispy curtains which really do make the open space seem quite personal.
Order lots of tapas. The more the better! The fairy floss is a must. The Mojito's a work of art as is the white Sangria. After dinner go outside to the bar. The staff are amazing and very knowledgeable about all the cocktails on offer. We stayed late into the night trying their amazing take on classic cocktails.
If this restaurant was in almost any other place it would be looking at a Michelin star for sure!

“Well deserving of its #1 ranking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2014

This is an absolute hidden gem. Only knew about the place through some friends who live here, ended up there at 11ish on a saturday night and sat outside at the bar tucked around the corner, service was attentive and quick. We ordered the Tokyo mojito upon advice - didn't disappoint, between hubby and I we ordered 5 dishes and was given the ayam butunun (spicy chicken) fairy floss to try.... amazing combinations showcasing local ingredients -truely awesome experience -will need to make an excuse to come back again!

“Excellent restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2014

We came incognito in the evening to check the place out because we are holding a large dinner in 3 days. Staff were very nice and sweet. Food is superb and served extremely elegantly. Best to take your own wine as they only have local wine. Corkage fee is reasonable. I love this place. Will be back with 20 guests on Saturday evening.

“Sophisticated but unpretentious dining”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

We enjoyed a fine selection of Cuca's tapas dishes, accompanied by friendly but non-intrusive service. All the dishes were both beautifully presented and very tasty. We found five of the dished sufficient for the two of us to share; they arrived in sequence and provided a lovely succession of flavours. Our selections centred mainly on seafood (including superb grilled squid with avocado gazpscho) but also included a very pleasant pork dish. Our deserts (Bali breakfast and dirty monkey) were also tasty though the coffee flavour of the monkey dish was a bit strong for my taste.

This restaurant would grace any major international city - a dining experience here is highly recommended.

“Fusion..or confusin??”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

Read about Cuca in Garuda's magazine COLOURS.

Went with some friends from Sumatra and chose the 8 course special and sat in the Food Bar area where you are almost sitting in the kitchen.

The proprietor Kevin Cherkas, has extensive international experience and has developed a unique tapas feel here.

He combines locally sourced foods and the combinations are amazing. He spent quite a bit of time with our group talking about complimentary flavours and how local farmers are helping him produce what he needs...even organic chocolate form Pod!! www.podchocolate.com

Situated in a coconut grove as part of Kayumanis Estate Private Villas at Jimbaran Bay, this was an amazing experience.

Go to the website to see their latest menu offerrings which change progressively every month.

Best dining experience in southern Bali!!
